Seriously. After seeing the in game footage I forgot all about the controversy surrounding the console it is on and preordered. It's a shame so many of you guys are caught up in the circle jerk and will miss out on this game.

I am looking forward to Forza 5 more than any other game I have seen so far. I don't see DriveClub being anywhere close. I won't be getting the XB1 just for Forza 5 though. I am sure that there will be plenty of other games for the console that I will want to play over the course of the next generation.

No one game should ever be the sole reason you pay $500 for a console.

Would it make more since if I said something like this: I will be buying a next gen console on day 1. I will be playing many games on this console for many years to come. I am choosing Xbox One over PS4 because of one reason, Forza Motorsport 5.

Why get Forza when Gran Turismo 6 is coming?

Cyberdot

Because Turn 10 doesn't use original xbox car models in their games.

Why should I get Forza 5 with no weather, night racing and steering wheel support?

You know some people just don't care about weather effects or night racing. As for the wheel support, I believe that Dan Greenwalt mentioned something at E3 about a new Thrustmaster wheel. I believe he said that it was exclusive to XB1 and was currently in beta, so nothing was final yet.

No, it's a shame a single game made you forget about all the BS restriction Microsoft forces upon you with the XB1 and that you're so easily willing to sacrifice your customer rights, empowering MS in their insane definition of "ownership". I'd rather miss out on a couple of games that giving up on such important principles as "what's mine is mine".

no, it's a shame that you're caught up in the hype of ONE f*cking game. "hey this game looks great, let me drop $650 just so i can play it!" lol.

New forza looks like a copy paste of the old ones. They could have easily released this on the 360. It doesn't even have weather features and other sh!t that immerse Tom Mcshea.

lol, we gave up all of our customer rights a long time ago. I have been buying licenses for software and other digital downloads for a very long time now. Microsoft built their entire empire based on charging people a fee to use bits of code they created. It doesn't bother me that software on my computer phones home, why should I care if my video games do it? Internet required? No problem, my 360 and PS3 have both been connected to the internet for what, 8 years now? My computer has been plugged into longer than that. Oh no, I can't trade in my games any more and I can't loan them to my friends! Wait a minute, I haven't been to a Gamestop since 2006. I buy all my games online and would rather have them downloaded directly than having to wait or pay shipping. Plus with only one or two games a year being the exception, I usually wait a few months for price drops before buying a new release. I'm saving a lot of money AND supporting the developers. Sounds like I'm Microsoft's target audience. A married 30 something gamer with some disposable income who doesn't give two shits about DRM or always on internet requirements.

It's only the console hackers and kids who need to scrounge their lost pennies for games that are annoyed. For everyone else it's a blessing.
