Yesterday, I looked at the game reviews section at GameSpot and I saw this,

Four games reviewed in the last few days and each received a 9/10 score? In my years at GameSpot, I have never seen that many 9/10 scores in a few number of days.

Yup, we’ve been getting some really awesome games lately. No doubt Monster Hunter World will soon join them as well.
looking forward to next episode of current Batman Telltale series, though I doubt many people appreciate that kind of stuff
Yeah, thought that was a lot of high scores.
DBFZ has been looking great along though, so no surprises there. And SFV:AE is not only a great buy in for new players, but also a great free update for existing owners.
Can't really speak on the other two, but it could just be that a lot of good games are dropping at once.
Also gotta keep in mind how top heavy this industry is with the scale. A 9/10 doesn't really mean much anymore.
@princessgomez92: HAHA I agree, I agree. It's just the "Arcade edition" as they do with every title they make of SF.
You know...SUPER ARCADE HYPER TURBO REMIX HD WE WANT MORE MONEY EDITION.
Well on the one hand it's a pretty significant update, and it's FREE for existing owners. Also a great buy in price for new buyers.
On the other hand, looks like Princessgomez here has hardly played the base game and hasn't even played AE. So not like he would know what's what anyways.
This year is on a good start.

What do you think of IGN's site redesign? It looks kind of basic.
I think I just spotted another one earlier, this streak will likely end in March though when Sea of Thieves releases lol
@xhawk27: well, I'd rather not make accusations, kind of poking fun at the notion.....but, you know, if you look at the statistics of the matter, not many Xbox One games got a 9 here
I would say their standards are dropping. 10/10 used to be unheard of, and now they’re handing them out like candy. Take divinity original sin 2 for example. Great game, but in no way deserving of a 10. Even witcher 3, my favorite game of this gen had mediocre combat, clunky movement, and generally crappy itemization, yet still scored a 10.
10 should indicate that there wasn’t really anything glaring that could be improved. Yet both games had glaringly obvious things that could have been much better.
@i_p_daily: Re-reviewing a game after a major overhaul like that Arcade Edition is bad?!? So they shouldn't have reviewed Ultra Street Fighter 4 when it released, and should probably skip all rereleases for the switch and remasters for all systems? Come on, at least once on this site try to not be a dumbass.
