[QUOTE="X_Evo"]LMFAO check out the tags on amazon they are all bad. :lol:EntwineXYeah I noticed, those are hilarious. :P
Amazon deleted all the reviews. :(mjarantillaDamn Amazon and their cursed efficiency. :( It took a lot longer for GS with K&L.
(Insert Fox joke here)Serves her right for agreeing to appear on a television show regarding a topic she knows jack about. :|
I mean, what where Fox thinking having a panel of people discuss a video game, none of whom know anything about video games?

As much as she deserves it, I can't say I'm a fan of angry-nerd vigilante justice. It comes across as petty and childish and is the type of thing that causes people like Lawrence to believe all gamers are either a) 13 year old kids or b) 32 year old virgins living in their mom's basement.
Her other books still have bad ratings and reviews though...hilarious.NavigatorsGhost
They actually spammed those, too.

I really couldn't care what she thinks of gamers. However, it might make her, and others of her ilk, think twice before going on a Faux Noise broadcast and lying about something they have never experienced or know anything about.Quote from the letter the EA bloke sent to Fox:
Do you watch the Fox Network? Do you watch Family Guy? Have you ever seen The OC? Do you think the sexual situations in Mass Effect are any more graphic than scenes routinely aired on those shows? Do you honestly believe that young people have more exposure to Mass Effect than to those prime time shows?
I know we generally dislike EA and their practices; but that is right on. Their entire "arguement" has been completely ripped apart in that single paragraph.

Quoted for Truth.
Yea it was a pretty devastating rebuke, I don't watch Fake News so I don't know whether mentionned it, but I doubt it, they are extremely selective in what they spoonfeed their audience.Quote from the letter the EA bloke sent to Fox:

Its great the way gamers have come together over this. They are an easy target for the media (not just Fox) and politicians to target.
Amazon deleted all the reviews. Shame i was gonna leave something like:
Not for kids, shows full frontal nudity and makes baseless, usually completely untrue statements.
Good lord, she's also changed her email address on her official website to a fake one, changed her myspace account to private, and blocked all friend requests by demanding you put her last name first, with an incorrect name so that nobody can do this successfully.
She must be getting some serious abuse.

It's no more petty and childish than going on national television and throwing out egregious slanders all over the place in an attempt at reaching out to Middle America. EA isn't suing FOX, and they probably could, but they're simply asking for an apology that they likely won't receive. Vigilante justice comes about when the system has let people down in some way and they want to make a statement, so in this case, the "angry-nerd" variety seems fitting.
[QUOTE="UnknownSniper65"]Yes they will, because both EA and Microsoft can potentially claim millions of dollars in lost revenue because of Fox's inaccurate statements regarding Mass Effect. They'll never apologize on camera....(if they ever do that is)
PBSnipes
The apology wouldn't have to be on air though...they could apologize in a much less public way...I am still amazed that not one person in the entire FOX crew DIDN'T catch the huge amount of lies within the report...Did anyone even bother playing the game? Makes you doubt there abilities as a news station to report on facts...not hear say.

Cooch smells like rotting intestine, communist, and bestiality all made me lol. Pseudo Science and Pop Psychology are both very true. She has no education in psychology, there's a reason it doesn't say Dr. in front of her name.

Yeah this is hardly the first time Fox and numberous others (including CNN) have been caught twisting the truth....hell CNN and Fox have both openly admitted to editting footage!

dude, its Fox "news", I doubt they ever fact check anything. Did you see O'Reilly bashing Edwards recently about homeless vets, syaing it was all made up when it was the VA where Edwards got his figures.[QUOTE="UnknownSniper65"][QUOTE="PBSnipes"][QUOTE="UnknownSniper65"]Yes they will, because both EA and Microsoft can potentially claim millions of dollars in lost revenue because of Fox's inaccurate statements regarding Mass Effect. They'll never apologize on camera....(if they ever do that is)

They probably didn't expect anyone to catch them/care, or if they did the pros of creating biased, "oh noes videogames are evil" programming (higher ratings) far outweigh the cons (possible lawsuit, angry letters).still I am amazed that nobody once thought "Hey, maybe we should actually research this"

FOX News doesn't believe in fact-checking. It gets in the way of truthiness.
Such childish and overly defensive actions simply give the conservative cranks more ammo against us. The better response would be to challenge them in an intelligent debate, their arguments are like a glass house in a quarry and can be demolished in seconds. Sometimes gamers do themselves and gaming a great disservice, the lack of real debate and discussion among gamers is one of the main unspoken reasons why games are still seen as throw-away entertainment.
hmm...i wonder if she has a wiki page...unreal48
Lol, I recall looking at Sakurai's wiki page once and those jokers from the Brawl boards on GS were editing it.

This is a country where respected lawyers try to ban videogames like Halo, claiming they train people how to kill. :P
What? You mean they don't? I mean, they said it on Fox News, and you know, some people say...Because she's an idiot, and a BS spewing Nazi I'm sorry, I meant feminist.
Seriously, she basically said the game was a big pervert Male sexist simulator. Her entire opinion was worthless when she said all the sex was geared towards attractive women, when you have the option of being a woman. And who wants to have sex with ugly people? Noone. Why should we have to live with your stupid opinions about "How we perceive women as sextoys" in our video game? It's a video game. I guess Kaidan should be ugly as hell, too. She said she never even played Mass Effect.
Do I show as much interest in ugly women as I do attractive ones? No, I don't. I doubt this lady would give an ugly guy a second glance if he was standing next to a handsome one. It's how everyone is. Get over it, and stop writing books. They don't make you or your opinion any better or credible. So your books a New York Times Best Seller? HOLY CRAP, SO IS THE ALPHABET OF MANLINESS AND A BOOK ABOUT FART JOKES.
