Does anyone remember that one fighter game where you turned into a beast or something like that? It reminded me of Tekken.Ilived
Yeah they made a few of them but they were sort of lacking in mechanics. Decent fun though. Name escapes me. Feral Fury, Beast Battle?

DOA4 pwns this pos (in graphics)acekall
Last gen DOA would 'clean house' consistenly in terms of looks (the closest rival being Soul Calibur), but this gen DOA (for now) has been dethroned in the graphics department imo. But knowing Team-Ninja, they won't go down so easily. :D

Correct.
The franchise had a lot of potential but spiraled down hill with it's bad ports that never came up to date with it's mechanics. Perhaps Konami will revitalize it but who knows.

It wasn't that. I just checked the screenshots for it and I don't remember it looking like that. I dunno.
Looks great , I hope the gameplay is just as top notchvickissv2
Always have been (except Tekken 4). #1 3D fighting franchise of all time baby. I just wish they would port it to the 360.

Never said Tekken was created first.

They can still port it to the 360.[QUOTE="X_CAPCOM_X"]
They won't. The arcades are using the Cell processor. Like MGS4, if you want it you will need a PS3.Forza_2
Just like VF5. I think the architecture of the arcade machine was closer to the PS3 than the 360.

Tekken has always been a Playstation only game. Playstation has made what Tekken is today it was due to the Playstation that Tekken became as popular as it is today. Tekken and Playstation go hand-in-hand with each other, I honestly can't see this changing ever.

Remember Square and Nintendo? Remember if RE4 gets ported to PS2 I will take a chainsaw to my face? Remember the Capcom 5? Remember DMC4 only possible on PS3?
This day in age anything can happen. I wouldn't be suprised by anything.
People also used that when arguing about VF5.[QUOTE="Swift_Boss_A"]Tekken has always been a Playstation only game. Forza_2
PS: That statement is false. Tekken was also released on GBA. (Nintendo platform)
look you can think what you want but as far as I know Tekken has always been a Playstation Console exclusive. Sony and the Tekken team have become good friends over time, Tekken is one game that I will guarantee wiill not be on any other console apart from the Playstation.

You think Sony haven't paid for Tekken 6's exclusivity already? Namco Bandai and Sony are too good bedfellows for an Xbox 360 port to happen. Their commitment to each other has already been echoed in the Ken Kutaragi-helmed Cellius venture, which aims to "take share from Microsoft and Nintendo". I believe the use of the Cell processor in arcade boards has already cemented their relationship.

Ah yes, the non-canonical GBA installment of Tekken. So, now that Blue Dragon and Viva Pinata are headed to the DS, do you expect to see these Xbox franchises go to the Wii? Of course not. Companies farming-out a franchise to a handheld is no indication of where the console versions will go.
1) Why would Sony pay for Tekken's exclusivity. The game isn't even that popular.[QUOTE="-Spock-"]You think Sony haven't paid for Tekken 6's exclusivity already? Forza_2
2) You're speculating. I have no idea if Sony has a deal to keep it exclusive.

If there is no deal to keep it exclusive, they can port Tekken over to any platform as they please.

So saying damn you beat me to it lead to you thinking I was thinking all of this? You're no psychic so don't even bother trying. He said Tekken has always been a Playstation only game and the facts say that he is incorrect. Does that mean its going to another platform? I don't believe I ever said that.
I stated a fact, and you can't argue that fact.

As of February 2005, Tekken 5 has sold 4.3 million copies on the PS2. The entire franchise has sold over 20 million units worldwide on PlayStation platforms. If that's not popular and worth the price of Sony's exclusivity, I don't know what is. Plus, practically everyone who brings up the thought of a 360 version is speculating. What makes my speculation about Sony's business moves any different?

Take Microsoft for example. They went after Rockstar to make a deal for GTA. Why do you think that is ? Because the game is very popular.
Hell, FF series have always been popular. FF12 sold a few millions and yet Sony said they had no deals for FF13 and SE also confirmed that.
I'm not the one speculating, you are. I'm not saying it's coming to the 360.
PS: Can I get a real link to Tekken 5 sales ?

Neither is Mistwalker (I admit defeat on Rare, as they are a fully Microsoft-owned second-party). Mistwalker only have Microsoft's financial backing (development funding, publishing, advertising etc.) - they are not actually owned by Microsoft. It's a relationship akin to Namco Bandai (and Square-Enix for that matter) who get Sony backing. The split between the Cellius studio is 51:49 in favor of Namco.
