No idea, I only played the demo. I wish it wasn't so. The blame is mine alone.

Just make a decent Warhammer 40K FPS already, with all the factions playable online in planetside 2 scale battles. Simple.

WH40K will do bad as FPS only. The melee in the lore is so important, that it should be more like Relic's Space Marine. Only faction that is good with FPS only would be Tau, and we already have an FPS on them, Fire Warrior.

[QUOTE="funsohng"][QUOTE="SNIPER4321"] what variety 90s FPS have? just doom clones?? We still have variety if you dont look at Big Mainstream Market. SNIPER4321
..... 1900's. not 1990's. He means the Victorian age and the First World War.

My Bad... eitherway 1900s doesnot have any variety too

And your gritty, dark, atmospheric FPS does? Do tell.

Good solo FPS games would be nice, more refreshing stuff would be a plus, and really more hybrids. But I'm at that stage where I dont' care that you are the more ambitious game. It's time the execution starts matching the ambition. So if you're gonna be this multigenreallinonegame, be good at everything you do. Functional is only acceptable if you're one of those "good enough is good enough" ...I want greatness.

I miss some good WWII games. Nowadays it's all about Modern Warfare or Sci-fi futuristic themes.

I love the tropical setting.

sukraj

Me too.

As a concession to current-time FPS, I'd like to see one based on Black Lagoon and its world encompassing the South China Sea. Far Cry 3 sort of does that already. But, I like to see a lot of traveling to other locations with the PT boat, going after ships and treasure.

I want a bit of everything, but I think futuristic is gonna dominate next gen.tagyhag

If current trends are anything to go by, most likely.

Near-futuristic to be exact.

[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]

I guess Giants: Citizen Kabuto is pretty close to what I mean. It's not strictly an FPS, but has a great surreal quality to it.

Also MDK to a lesser extent.

R4gn4r0k

Never played those games.

I did play armed and dangerous from the same developer and that game was overflowing with originality. Would you say Giants aged well ? I might check it out

I like original weapons in my FPS most of all like the shark gun from A&D, the gravity gun, the cerebral bore, that gun from painkiller that shoots shurikens and lightning, ...

So yeah we need more creativity definitely

Giants is worth checking out if you like such "different" shooters.

One of the more unique games for sure.

It really doesn't matter to me as long as FPS campaigns continue to be hallways of bad guys with no variation in gameplay.
