Do you like your games to look this fugly? I don't.

I voted 1080p/30fps because anything under 1080p is eye melting. What i'd like to see is settings being lowered instead of the resolution. For example, campaign of X game runs at High/1080p/30fps on consoles. When doing pvp, you have an option to choose the "pvp 60fps", settings are lowered to Medium (or even lower if needed)/1080p/60fps. That is what i want to see, not a fking resolution decrease... I prefer seeing sharp ugly textures than blurry af environment with a bunch of jaggies and shimmering.

For most games, I generally prefer a higher res over framerate. That's why I'm happy that Gears 4 will be 1080p/30fps.

Depends on the type a game, but a balanced approach is best.

Depends on the game, any fps/fighting/fast pace action game I would most likely rather play on 60fps than on higher resolution

Makes no difference to me. The claims of games like Assassin's Creed being the same at 30fps are bogus. Uncharted remastered felt and played a lot better than the original versions mainly due to the higher frame rate. 60fps is always A LOT better than 30fps which is barely above what something needs to look animated/in motion.

My point was that it's impact on gameplay is much higher on the type of games I mentioned

I'm sure you're talking about consoles so i chose 60fps/720p , Gameplay matters more

However, obviously the standard is 1080p/60fps.

60 frames, no form of interaction in this medium doesn't improve with more frames to work with. Have you ever moved a mouse on a 144hz monitor? Shit is great.

Depends on the game,
Although I'd rather have 60FPS and with lower detail if possible.

Racing games must be above 30FPS, it's a shame US HDTV's don't do 50hz because 50FPS would be an good compromise.

2560x1080 at 70FPS FreeSync... Oh wait consoles.

Aren't most games on console that are advertised at 30 running at 20-25? and the ones advertised at 60 are usually 45-50FPS?...

Fallout 4 on the PS4 runs at 20fps a lot of the time.
