Frame-rate test

I've gone back and forth from playing console games at 30 and PC games at 60, and I've noticed the difference; but yet, with this test, seems I can only snag around 8-9. Guess I'm blind as some people put it.

Me neither, i got 8/9 across two goes. It really varies how obvious it is, Skyrim and the city one look choppy as **** at 30 on that but i couldn't get the ARMA ones.

It's more noticeable in how the controls feel than looks imo.

The human eye is pretty simple, most can't notice above 24 fps which is why most movies do not go above it.

My monitor cant do 120hz so it gets stuct when it tries to play 120 frames

This test is rigged, half the screen was blurry and messy while the other was crisp and clear. How is the one that isn't crisp and clear the correct one... smh

Human eye sucks.

120 vs 60 is a little tricky though, because I don't have a 120hz monitor.

That is not why movies are filmed at 24fps...

Game engine and camera activity matters - some took almost 3 seconds to spot. The first helicopter one was almost impossible!

30 vs 60 is super easy, even cats can spotted right away.

A nice challenge will be to run a game at a random fps from 1-60. I have done that with 2-3fps margin of error, however in order to do that I need to actually play the game, and not watching it.

Pretty easy to tell the difference in most games. Takes like first 1 second to see the difference. In Max Payne 3 it was a bit hard but when he triggered slow motion, it was obvious.
