Lets just add the 1080P TV for the PS3, no point having one if you can't watch the Blu-ray films. So I guess thats another $2000+ onto the PS3 costs (my TV cost ($1500 for my 360), oh and the HDMI cable is another $100. Soon adds up. OMG, I forgot the 7 controller support, thats 7 x 40, thats another $280.

And another one of those people who fail to realize there's more to it than the face price. 360 may be cheaper to get initially, but over the long run you WILL spend more money on the console+service and far more if you want any of the overpriced periphereals and upgrades. The price argument against either way is just stupid because you're going to spend about the same.

Your right in more ways then one! You know why? WHen you buy a PS3, there is only 1 game you need to buy to get anything of quality on it! When you buy a 360, you have to buy a whole bunch of good games, and those games add up fast. I'm really glad when I get a PS3, I won't be tempted by good games I might buy, so that my costs stay low! Thank goodness for that making it so much cheaper!jeffwulf

well i could counter argument and say that you dont need to spend $300 on HDDs, you could just spend $180 for the new 120GB 

online is payable over years, so you dont need to pay all at once

and you dont need the HD-DVD add-on, i dont have one

Are you saying you need 3 core harddrives? If not, why would anyone buy the Core, then buy a harddrive, they must be awful dumb. Duh, lets spend more money. As for online, no one is forcing a 360 to get it, infact many can't, I couldn't get it the whole first year it was out. As for HD DVD, I have no interest in that due to limited selection of movies and the fact that I don't care.

So (I paid 400 something cause I'm in canada) 450 Dollars for Prem......and thats it.

Oh look, thats a third of yours.

BTW, PS3 in canada is 698 dollars. If you want to throw in stuff you think you need, say a HDTV you get around 1700 dollars.

Buy XBOX360 Premium - $399

Do you need a Blu Ray drive to play PS3 games? No...Not really. I have not seen any game, out right now, or coming soon that really needs Blu Ray. There isn't one single PS3 game, present, or future that cannot be done on DVD...Period.

Is Sony milking the cows by forcing them to pay extra for a Blu Ray, and using their fans just to win a format war, because all Sony really cares about is their movies? Yes..I cannot believe cows don't see it.
