Friend wants to but PS3, how do i convince him to get 360?

Second, im not saying the points were not good, but look at the forum, how many indirect insults toward me do you detect? I didn't ask the questions then say, oh, by the way i told him"YOU WILL BY THE 360 NOOOOWWWW!!!" What i actually said is "dude, you should get the 360 so we can talk and play on live, ect. ect. ect." and we had a very intelligent conversation on the good (and bad)points of PS3 and 360. I was simply trying to convince him. And im pretty sure this post will spark even more criticisms of me, its a vicous cycle.:roll:

Well you could offer to pay for his live access :P that may convince him. At least you can play PS3 exclusives on his PS3 with him, I guess it does mean you cant meet up online but its not all bad is all Im saying.

While i think 360 is better than PS3, im glad i have friends with PS3 (most of them). It gives me the ability to play it´s exclusives

How about you let him buy what he wants?

I have a PS3 but my friend wanted to by a 360 and you know what I did? I recommended him some games :|

Let him get a PS3. Find another way to stay in contact and or save up to get yourself a PS3. If you care that much about staying in contact without being tolerant of other alternatives, then you should be the one who pays the expense of getting something you may not want/need. That or you could save up and get him a 360 for Christmas. 8)

Lol, this is what I did. I feel sort of bad about it, but now I get to play the PS3 exclusives. He ended up buying a 360 too a few months later.

I was thinking the same exact thing, i came in here expecting a funny flame war, but all i see is people defending the friends free choice. This is a very odd day!

Let him get the PS3. If he doesn't like the 360, he'll just blame you.

Also, less ports to open to optimize online gaming on the 360. For PS3 you need to open quite a bunch of ports (PSN and online gaming, plus certain games require a specific port). Just less hassle on the 360 than I did setting up my router for the PS3 to optimize the online experience.

The PS3 is A LOT better, let him get it...

Its his choice TC, if you can't think of anything to say that could convince him otherwise then you won't be able to stop him. Its not like the 360 is better in any way to PS3, so if your friend prefers PS3 than anything you can say will likely be countered by some PS3 feature the 360 doesn't have. Its his choice, and it would be annoying to try and change him for your gain, especially when you don't particularly gain anything in this case.
