+1 cuz I will have it day one. But I do beleive it's going to be a niche console, appealing mostly to people like me whose entertainment centers in their LR cost more than most are willing to spend on a car m. I would expect that it will amount to at best 25% of XBone total sales for the period in question- it's up to M$ to give people a reason to make the number 25% of significance. I can't afford not to, and most multiplats will shift for me from PS4 Pro to XBoneX (except for titles with a PSVR advantage).

@reduc_ab_: Great idea, I was thinking about doing the same thing. I would like to see cows, and lems make predictions, and see how well they will fare. I might be overshooting it, but I think they'll reach 1mil by the end of the year.

Yeah, I'm gonna do an update with every prediction tracked. I'm thinking of also doing an update of every lem that is too cowardly to make a prediction. I have an interest in bravery, so the latter suits me. (jk on the latter part...probably)

Same thing can be said about cows that keep saying DOA, but don't have the balls to say what DOA means in terms of numbers.

1 million might be too much since Microsoft themselves thinks it won't sell that much compared to the OneS, and last year the OneS was at 2.5mil over those two months. Should've said 500k, but lets stay positive :)

it will only announce it was the top selling hardware of the month and that's it. actually....they might pull a sony and combine the 2 consoles and say it was number one and not specify which sold more.

400,000 from launch to April 2018. 800,000 for first year with enormous drop out afterwards.

And speaking of PSVR. On the latest news, Sony stated they were surprise Resident Evil 7 VR sold so well, they are happy that RE7 is the best game to experience PSVR.

Though however, I own RE7 on PC, so I wouldn't know how it plays on VR but playing RE7 through my monitor, I can get an idea what it's like to play VR with RE7. I'm more surprise reduc_Ab didn't make a thread on that.

Probably around 5-10 mil. It's a niche product much like PS4 Pro.

That is unless you feel PS4 Pro is useless and not needed yet post about it hiding behind it for damage control, saying things like, "I dare anyone to take the PRO vs X1X comparison test,(which I posted videos of actual name the system "X" game is playing on between Xbox One and PS4 and every one failed miserably, yet I was told to get my eyes checked cause everyone can see it?) or "Pro has the best visuals on the market. So it seems you hide behind whatever pushes your agenda. What's next you play all the games coming to X1X on your super RIG with way better visuals?

So tell me again why console gamers cant afford a PC? I mean upgrades 3 times in one generation, Xbox1, Xbox S, Xbox X is hell a lot of money in hardware right there alone then add yearly online fees...

It's 20 per cent of overall PS4 sales. And lets be real Sony first party- all the games look gorgeous. Horizon Zero Dawn is using the extra power of the PRO. Third party xbox one x games should look better? But then again Sony is the marketing leader and has marketing rights for most of the big games coming out over next year!

My prediction? MS will continue to release Xbox Live numbers and say that X1X is selling as expected.

No they won't. They're not going to risk putting numbers out now, and if sales drop off they'll have to go back to sharing on sales related data. It's going to be even more obvious that it and the Xbox One S are selling poorly.

They'll go back to releasing solid number when they're doing better consistently.

Maybe after PS5 releases then. Even though I'm not sure if they will release sold numbers anyway, I get it's good marketing but I also get when they say it doesn't hold any business value

Yeah, well, I'd say it will sell at least a few hundred thousand in the first two months. It might do more than that, might do less. If it does do more I'd say it is moderately successful. Anything under a couple hundred thousand in the first two months would be DOA, probably.

Well, the Pro does have the best (console) visuals on the market.

And I would love for people on here to take the Pro vs X1X test. It would be freakin hilarious.

None of this means I want a Pro, though, or even think it is/was necessary. Like I said, I think it is a waste of money. My OG PS4 gets the job done just fine.

MS won't release numbers though so this thread is pointless. They'll just give some empty PR statement and combine its sales with 1S sales and give percentage increase like they usually do. I expect the PS4 Slim and Switch to rule the holiday period when 1X launches,

I think between launch and end of 2017, X1X will sell somewhere between 300k-750k, if they get closer to a million or break it I think that should be considered a great launch considering the price point and that they chose to have no specific games that require X1X. I do think it would have been cool to have that one showcase game only playable on X1X, it would've helped sales, but I understand not wanting to leave X1/1S users feeling left out or behind....yet.

I think a year's worth of new X1X enhanced games, and newly released games that really take advantage of 1X, along with a holiday 2018 price drop, and a further increase in 4k TV sales, will mean the 1X could well end up having a better holiday 2018 than 2017.

I can easily see the 1X breaking the 2-3 million point prior to holiday 2018.

A couple million by the end of 2017. It will sell out to the hardcore gamers. MS won't release figures. Sales will drop drastically in January.

500K at the end of 2017, 2 mil at the end of 2018. M$ won't reveal any numbers.

I doubt it will sell better than the Pro, though the sales-gap likely won't be as significant as the X1-PS4 gap.
