That's always the excuse any time Xbox games are getting good reviews and winning contests. Why not go on to the other favorite "Microsoft paid off Gphoria" while you're at it? :roll:
No :| a person or a group of people can be bias toward a certain consoles. If the ps3 wins the next Gphoria, I bet you won't be saying that...
It's a lame excuse, that's all it is. Xbox games winning means they're doing something right to rally so many supporters of that game in the 1st place. Since the voting is open to everybody, what does it say that there aren't as many people voting for the PS3 games? The Playstation fans are out there.
In fact it isn't just GS or G4 that praised Gears of War so highly, at E3 06 it was every single industry insider. So please, stop making excuses and accept reality already. You're just weakening your position when you fall back on this cheap tactic.
And it only goes one way here at GS. Nobody cries conspiracy theories when PS3 games get good press but as soon as it's an Xbox game, ohhhh it has NOTHING to do with any of its actual merits, it's just because of a strong disposition of fanboys. So next year if PS3 wins as best console or a PS3 game gets Game of the Year, no, you won't see an outcry of "its dominated by cows, this was so unbalanced". It's just the Xbox haters who think they can come up with a sensible rationale... and fail at it miserably.
