Man I love how damn elitist people on this forum are, Bioshock was a great game that many millions of people enjoyed. I'll never understand why people get so mad when a video game doesn't live up to their expectations. Its a damn GAME. Play it for what it is, have fun, and if you don't like it then don't talk about it any longer. For the record: I loved Bioshock; had an incredible time with Fallout 3; worshipped Blue Dragon; and greatly enjoyed many other games that people said were "dumbed down" from some mythical predecessor that 9/10 of the aforementioned bashers more than likely aren't old enough to even have played within the context of games releasing around the same time.TheSystemLord1

Yup, pretty much. It happens with Halo, GTA, BioShock, etc. Lots of people like the smaller games, as it makes them feel that they belong to more of a grassroots fanbase that doesn't feature the majority. Honestly, for the most part, I enjoy big and small games. I mean, there's some games I don't like at all (ie: MGS4), but I'll admit it's quality. It's rubbish to me, though.

ah man, from the demo i found the game was very good, i didn't know it was as bad as bioshock, come on batman asylum can't be that bad, well at least from the demo

Or maybe people got bored by the game? Just like Mass Effect, I boght both games on 360, never finished them.

Bought both games on PC, and while I do feel the PC versions of both games are superior (especially mass effect), I still couldn't finish them.

Bioshock in particualr had some of the weakest gunplay I've seen. Electric shock, wrench all the way through is no fun for me. You want goodies? YOU WANT TEH LOOT!?! Sorry, gotta play pipe dream 5000000 times over and over to get it. Want to upgrade your stats? Here, here is a camera, take pictures and you will cause more damage ftw? The story was pretty engaging but seriuosly, the gameplay is so damn bland. Like Ramen without the flavors. Like popcorn without butter.

So much hate towards Bioshock recently...

I guese it's going through the Phase where a Critically Aclaimed Game gets TONS of Hate (Sometimes for no reason). Like Zelda TP & GTA 4.

im still having doubts on this game.. usually movie turned games are almost crap and flops.. guess we will find out..
