Game Informer teases 'Surprisingly big Vita show' at E3

Game Informer executive editor Andrew Reiner is teasing a surprisingly big show for PS Vita at E3 next month.

The Twitter tease follows that of a Sony executive last week, who teased an amazing big title for the handheld.

Perhaps that Panopticon countdown site, scheduled to end in under nine hours from press time, has something to do with this big show?

E3 runs from June 11 to 13.

You really couldn't be more wrong....They are both in the same segment...They are by all means competing in the market place. As a consumer when making a purchasing decision you have a choice between the two as they are in the segment. By that very nature alone they are competitors.

That and make it mandatory that all PS4 games have remote play...I bought a vita for my 5 year old son and when i travel..it would kick ass if i could be playing a PS4 game  from my hotel room 3000 miles away.... We put a man on the moon with less processing power than a DS...this cant be that big of a deal

Sony is going to show a lot of the PS4. There is a pre E3 thing, actual E3, GDC, TGS, etc still to go. Plus, Sony will probably be booking additional events.

Plenty of opportunities for PS4 talk. The VITA needs this shine.

Pro-tip: If anyone finds a battery that matches both the voltage and a Amp requirements that the PS4 requires, it's basically a mobile Cloud gaming+storage server for your VITA.

With Content Manager App and Remote-Play, a PS4 (powered by an external battery) could connect to VITA and store native vita content and stream next-gen games 24/7. Instantly. 

. . . The idea of a battery operated PS4 would be great for VITA owners. PS4 would, however, need to be light weight and small enough and work well in a shaky environment. Going with SSD and all digital would probably resolve the issue of disc skippage. A well cushioned, lightly ventilated bag (something like a soccer bag and the styrafoam that would come with the console) would take care of the hardware breaking after a drop or overheating.

Once I get everything, I will try it out. If anyone else is getting PS4 and has a PS4, let us know if you're willing to try this type of thing out too. I can help you research the right battery and maybe even a good back pack for the PS4 to fit in. ^^

This would make sense. I believe the PSP ones did very well. But R* never said they where releasing a VITA GTA game (after the PSP ones).

He actually has a good point.  The 3ds appeals to children while the Vita is supposed to appeal to young adults.  I know that hurts peoples feelings here on SW as there are alot of adults here that own 3ds but facts are facts.  I know not one adult in real life that owns a 3ds.  I flew out to Utah several months ago and what I saw on the plane summed it up perfect.  About 4 children under the age of 10 with 3ds and one adult with a new PS vita.  The vitas problem is its to expensive for a childrens toy and the young adults get most of there core gaming fix on consoles and there portable gaming on smartphones.  The vita can succeed but it needs to work well with the PS4 and get some games that you cant find on consoles, it could also use a price drop.

I love playing Jrpgs on handheld for some reason, it just fits I think.

There are some differences to P3FES, mainly you can control your entire team in combat. But you can't rub around in the world anymore, it's an overwold map. Which sucks if you ask me...
