well a better battery would be welcome.. however I'd stay away from cheaper parts...

Design wise the PSV is 'perferct' its stylish,comfy and has a beautiful large screen..

There is no big show for Vita.  How many times have Sony said this only to leave their fans dissapointed.  None of their fans want rehashes and tired ports for Vita.  They want games for the system.

I hope they show some big PS4 games streaming to it, along with the Gakkai service. That would make me buy one. Heil68

Agreed, I traded mines in awhile back but I would gladly by another one for this feature.

I really hope they show some sort of Special Edition Bundle for the Vita so I could hurry up and play Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, Ragnarok Odyssey, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Soul Sacrifice, Uncharted games, Unit 13 and a few JRPG's before they release Killzone: Mercenary and whatever else they announce at this years E3.

You really couldn't be more wrong....They are both in the same segment...They are by all means competing in the market place. As a consumer when making a purchasing decision you have a choice between the two as they are in the segment. By that very nature alone they are competitors. 

He actually has a good point.  The 3ds appeals to children while the Vita is supposed to appeal to young adults.  I know that hurts peoples feelings here on SW as there are alot of adults here that own 3ds but facts are facts.  I know not one adult in real life that owns a 3ds.  I flew out to Utah several months ago and what I saw on the plane summed it up perfect.  About 4 children under the age of 10 with 3ds and one adult with a new PS vita.  The vitas problem is its to expensive for a childrens toy and the young adults get most of there core gaming fix on consoles and there portable gaming on smartphones.  The vita can succeed but it needs to work well with the PS4 and get some games that you cant find on consoles, it could also use a price drop. 

I see where you're coming from, but they are in the same segment. I agree with you each one might have a different view on target demographics it would only take a few keys steps by Sony to open up that demographic. IF Sony starts making more games that appeal to the younger children while keeping their target demographic in place, cut the price, and make it a requirement that all PS4 games have remote play the Vita could have some legs on it.

The last time I was this "hyped" for a Sony E3 - and the PSPgo was revealed. :(

You know the last amazing Vita announcement? It was a popular shooter that plays like it was on consoles. People were hyped up and declaring that the 3DS is doomed. Come November, and nobody wanted the game even if it was free. I discussed the game with an EB Games employee, who said that even casuals knew it was bad. Hype isn't everything, so hold your panties.hiphops_savior

So . . . are you using the word "amazing" to define a AAA-level IP, that is in a shooter genre, thus appeals to a wide audience? Than the direct answer to that is Killzone: Mercenaries. The COD game is and was widely suspected to be iffy (by those following gaming news) from day one. No pictures, no footage, and no announcement for the team in charge until weeks before launch lead the COD VITA announcement not to be an "amazing".

Infact, COD VITA is widely regarded by many VITA enthusiasts to be a joke of a game (albiet, some still own and play it a bit in LP's). 

Furthermore, neglecting KZ:M and FPS genre titles, Assassins Creed: Liberation was an "amazing" announcement. The general person who walks into EB Games (and owns a VITA) would know of the IP of Assassins Creed and the announcement of the games (woman) heroine made for one of the most "amazing" games in 2012. Objectively.

So less time for PS4. Just want everyone wanted ...RR360DD

Depends. A few months ago (and around GDC), SCE and various indies announced various VITA titles. So these titles will (more than likely) make an appearance at E3 with more formal dates and further details. Good odds that more big indie games will be announced for Playstation ecosystems (and they will tie into VITA).

After that, a hardware related "surprise" might come for VITA. More than likely, they will announce a price drop/bundle for the SCEA region because it was long suspected after Japan got a pseudo-price drop (albiet VITA price cut in JP was bc Yen got weaker). 

I'm not expecting much in the way of AAA-IP for VITA from third parties. 

More titles like Gravity Rush.
