Game of the year so far? (Poll included)

In my poll, I've only included games that are widely considered to be AAA- ( they have recieved a score of 9or above on most sites and mags, such as Ratchet, Bioshockand Halo 3). Also in the 'other' option of the poll please state which game and why. You can choose any game,EXCEPT for remakes/ports. So that means that Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)and RE4 (Wii), although they're brilliant, don't count.

metroid, bioshock and ratchet do not belong on that listthe_h_bomb

I can sort of agree with you on Metroid and Ratchet, but BIOSHOCK!??!!?! A lot of people loved that game, and think it's the greatest game of the year so far. Tons of people believe it will be GOTY, so it will get lots of votes, and so it deserves to be up there.

Bioshock was a little too close to system shock 2 and was a victim of hype more than anything. It is certainly a very good game but it's not in the same league as Halo 3 or the orange box. Metroid again is very good but a little too close to its predecessors and Ratchet is a laughing stock
