Game Over - Not Forgotten Thread

Hello System Wars posters,

The GameSpot moderation team would like to offer a remembrance thread dedicated to positive influencers in the System Wars forum who are no longer with us. Do you recall any older registrants who are are banned or maybe they no longer use this forum? Positive influencers respected others opinions but they might have also posted interesting topics, or maybe they had witty statements. People who flamed others or put other users down should not be considered in the pool of users for this thread. So, really think about how these former GameSpot members and how they positively contributed in the System Wars forum.

Here's how the thread will work.

- Post the username of the person you miss and post a little story about what you miss about them. You might also include the platform they were a fan of. Note that since this is about old school SW posters, they should have registered between 2002 and 2007. Anyone who registered within 2008-2009 does not have that much history with this forum. Since the profile pages do not show their registration date just use your best judgement in this area.

- The System Wars posters and moderators may provide status updates every now and then by posting a list of usernames that were thrown out there and if desired a tally of how many people who mentioned them. For instance, if you noticed 10 names in the discussion since it started, provide the 10 usernames in a post to get people up to speed. You can post how many people mentioned them in the thread. If there were more names listed in the past 30 posts, you can take the list from the other person who posted a tally and add the latest names if you'd like.

Final note: Bashing banned users will not be tolerated. While you are allowed to use the System Wars terminology such as Lemming, cow, sheep, and hermit, avoid calling them names by focusing on the facts. For instance, he or she was rude, and they trolled and flamed is absolutely fine. Calling him or her a jerk or any other unkind words is inappropriate in the forums. This is a remembrance thread so let's remember the former System wars posters we miss before the year ends.

MLD. He was a fine SW poster who always reminded us that the ps3 was DEAD LAST over and over and over again. Without him around people want to pretend the ps3 isthe best console ! Hahahaha.

-Oath and SMR-Venom will be sorely missed. Both were really cool people.

-Oath and Animal Mother. Brings a tear to my eye :(

Avid Final Fantasy and fighters fan -- make no mistake, you bash Final Fantasy and Aljosa would be there to *try* to set you straight. Haha.

Quite the more colorful posters of SystemWars, he used to seperate his thoughts in seperate colors -- it made my eyes go nuts at times. He was one of the many constructive and skillful debators in systemwars, even chaos ran wild -- this *confident* poster was never one to back down. If he was proven wrong, he would stand corrected. Good poster, indeed.

Both of these posters were good posters, though they had their alligience to the Sony platforms. Come on fellas, if you're reading this, you know that's true. They still were very viable posters, and I do wish they were still here. It was very unfortuate to see them both get banned out of minor mistake on their parts. Needless to say, they were good posters and I know I've been into the heat of debate with both of them so they have my respect!

• Bansheedies

Fellow Halo fan, Bansheedies was along my side back in 2007 and earlier when we defended the Halo franchise from every angle of attack. Though I'm not sure how or why he met his ban, he is surely missed. He had an awesome blog as well.

These fellas were the Wii fans who I avidly went after in debates. It was fun in the day to go up against quite a few Wii fans in the debates within SystemWars. It seemed as though they had to crawl up a huge mountain to get their points across, since the majority of SystemWars was definitely anti-Wii. Myself included. So I definitely respect some of them, for they were all good posters.

• Dreams-visions

Overlord of .gifs, this fella was riot to watch him post. SystemWars wasn't the same when he was banned.

• Animal-mother

I hope he sees this. You sholdn't have gotten the laptop--desktop, amigo. GAMING DESKTOP! Great poster. Sad to see him go.

Old hermit, definitely a good poster who set many anti-pc SystemWars goers straight.

This guy was like the Floppy_Jim of 2005-2007, great poster and a pity that hes not with us anymore.

And whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! since when did Venom and SER get banned? I was just thinking how they havent been on in ages the other day. All the legendary sheep are gone...

Reading those descriptions brought back more than a few good memories of what System Wars used to be.
