Game Rankings is long used to bring together all of the review scores and compare games because you can't have bias in a an average. It's an awesome system... but it has one huge flaw. What is that flaw, Mr. Darth Zew?

People use "The Rankings" all the time and the top ten list there is the "Hall of Fame"... that's what I don't like. My biggest iff here is Half-Life 2 and the Orange Box. Technically speaking, Half-Life 2 is in the top ten list... three times. That's not especially bad, but my peeve is that the Orange Box is there twice, one for each version. Shouldn't it be that the best version of one game is on the list?

Having two of the same game on there makes no sense and doesn't leave room for some of the greats to be fully acknowledged. Thoughts?

I just don't think it belongs, because technically, "The Orange Box" isn't a game.

So it can't really be a highest rated game when it isn't one, right?

You're right, thats stupid of them. At the same time, it shows that the argument that console fps have lower standards is complete bs nowadays. And no hermits, you cant bring up star wars battlefront in 2007, just face the truth.

I think the biggest flaw with GR is people citing non-gaming sources to add more points to their accounts. Who cares what Vanity thinks about a game? It's like asking a vegetarian about a steak.

Yea it seems like OB is breaking unwritten rules. for example it shouldn't be even considered as GOTY unless your talking about 1 specific game from the OB

I second your opinion. If one version is better it should be recognize over the other. They are the same game and same code. GR is powered by Cnet, which powers Gamespot.
