Game Rankings: LoZ: OoT #1 again, SMG > GTAIV???

sry if old, but according to gamerankings for all the big reviewers out there, GTAIV is no longer #1, and strangely enough, SMG is above the 360 version of it.

I still think it is atrocious how Final Fantasy VII isn't even in the top 10 but as long as Zelda is top the world is still righteous.

Also do you not think its about time, they removed duplicate multiple platform game instances. Such as The Orange Box that is listed twice and GTA IV listed twice i mean come on, just put the highest rated platform on their for god sakes.

VII is not even best in the series.

LoZ OoT doesnt deserve to be #1 with its 30 reviews cheaty game when GTA IV was at 30, it HAD 100 % reviews and COMPLETELY killed LoZ OoT

as of SMG, i havent played it,, i guess, but it looks boring like hell, but it hsa gotten very good reviews so i dont know, perhaps a good game but not my genre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It could still change. San Andreas has about 100 reviews, GTA IV 360 only has 70 and the PS3 version only 57. Its probable that it'll change place several times more.

Hey, the graphics haven't aged as well as Ocarina of Time. At least OoT has facial expressions. And less polygon jaginess. And a non-reliance on FMV cutscenes.

Maybe you should face the fact that the reviewers were not the same. To defend Ocarina of Time, the reviewers who did review both games preferred Ocarina of time more (Game Revoloution and Electronic Gaming Monthly break the tie). Also, several of Zelda's reviews are a few years late, which kind of puts a disadvantage at Zelda.

Edit: Some New Zealand site liked Grand Theft Auto IV more then Zelda, so they're technically a tie-breaker as well. However, their review was nearly seven years late, so careful who you put your trust in.

how low would gta score if you only take the highest 15 and the lowest 15 scores ? :D

fanboys always count the 30 best scores and every one knows how dump that is:P

On a side note, i dont feel multiplatform games should be lumped in together as the review scores differ substantially, especially in the Orange box. Look at the difference between the PC, Xbox and the PS3 versions. Whilst the Xbox and PC versions are roughly similar the PS3 suffered (apparently) from frame rate drops and got a lower score on average.

But at the time i assume more people had pc's and there were more PC publications. Gaming wasn't as big and wouldn't have had as many publications. You can give me facts all you want but Half life is a bad example because people will still be reviewing it today as its still pretty easy to get hold of. Zelda OoT isn't as the original version for N64 isn't pressed anymore.

Agreed and agreed. Also Resident Evil 4 is not in the raking, just for those duplicates. And come'on, the Orange Box is not even a game by its own right. If Nintendo made something like "The Super Super Super Mario an Zelda Collection", it would be considered the best game of all time, forever and ever. But it doesn't work that way. It shouldn't, at least.
