Gamecube vs Xbox games

i dont know...i wasnt really into childish type of game like mario and what not. but i wasnt into the sci-fi alien type of games that xbox had lots of.

Seriously the only thing i think i ever used my original xbox for was halo 2 online and halo 1 story mode, i played a few other games here and there but seriously there was nothing really worth mentioning. GC was sooo much better, more diverse and over all quality lineup

Tough to choose.

On Gamecube I loved Rogue Leader, Metorid Prime 1&2, TP, and SSBM. Then on Xbox I was addicted to Halo 1&2, and played to death Ninja Gaiden, NFL 2K4, KOTOR, and Fable. I'm going to go with Xbox since I had more fun having Halo lan parties than with playing anything else last gen.

XBOX ofc....Doom3, Riddick, Halo1/2, Black, Forza, PGR2, Burnouts, Tocas, Soul Calibur, DOA3, GTA.......

Hmm well lets see

I owned both and enjoyed them equally, they both had many quality games that I enjoyed playing quite a bit.

Its not even close? You sure about that? I have both consoles from their launch and I have had more fun with the 360 from day one. So really any topic like this is subjective..Its opinion...So there is never a clear answer.

I got LIVE the day it was released. I love the 360 controller 1000x more then the gamecube. I like shooters better so the xbox was my favorite console. Even the PS2 couldnt keep up with the xbox on good onlne shooters and the controler.

I just never could make myself like the controller, same thing with the N64..Horrible controllers is something Nintendo is getting known for ..

Since Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is easily the greatest game ever made imo.....and xbox had the best version.....xbox wins

What? The Gamecube has a great controller. N64,I agree,it was to big. The classic controller from this gen for the wii is terrible too. But Xbox had better online because nobody ever used the GC's online.

i think gamecube, but i only had the xbox for a year or so because they dropped the damn thing! actually i think i sold it along with the gamecube ready for the next gen, i just kept my ps2.

i thought ps2 beat both though.

xbox, ninja gaiden, chaos theory and halo2s multiplayer was more than enough for me.

Halo's, Kotor's, PGR's, Splinter Cell's, Ghost Recon, Fable, Rainbow 6, Conker, Dead or Alive, Top Spin, Links 2004 - Xbox wins. :P

Gamecube because it can play Gba games. Also, there were some great exclusives on it.

The gamecube utterly destroys the xbox in games. Metroid Prime, LoZ Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario TYD, Animal Crossing, F-Zero GX, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros. Melee.

However for me I liked the Xbox more, but absolutely no game competes for playtime against SSBM. I played that game so much with my friends. Almost every day after school was hours of SSBM, and that went on for a few years.

Gamecube was great, no doubt. But, what's this "by a wide margin", "not even close" I keep reading in many posts. The obvious ones like Halo CE, Halo 2, Star Wars KoTor 1/2, Ninja Gaiden/Black, Fable aside; have people not played/heard of...

...and absolutely godly games in Panzer Dragoon Orta and Psychonauts. I might be missing a few for sure. But seriosuly, how can anybody call this being "far behind" anything? This attitude just boggles me. The original Xbox deserves much more credit than it gets imo.
