Hmm... I haven't seen any gakmes that price yet...

all new releases in major canadian cities are now 69.99, all I know is this just pushed me to buy games used/new from outside sources other than retail. I don't care how the person who's selling it to me acquired it (ie stolen or not) but if its 1/2 price Ill take it. I never thought I would stoop that low but everything is tough these days and if Im going to indulge in a hobby like video games, I might as well be economical.
Boohoo, think about the UK. Nintendo actually UPPED the price of it's bloody console. Although thankfully retailers seem to be taking it on the chin.
paying 69 bucks is better then paying 59 .. wtf//you see a couple of months ago. Us and Can games were both 59.99 now can is 69.99. Us is still 59.99 right?Well $1 = CAD1.23 (Rounded Up). So $59.99 = CAD73.63. So paying CAD69.99 for a game is a better deal than paying $59.99. Just saying :D

true but when the canadian dollar = $1.22 US, there was absolutely no change in pricing, which is probably why so many canadians started going south and purchasing items for their "real" value. I'm just saying that it should go both ways, and all I know is I'm never paying $70 + tax for a game unless it gives me like 100 hours of gameplay minimum. 'Till then I'll stick to used and online for half price.
Ok i don't know what the **** is this scam, but i see games like fallout 3, street fighter 4 and Resident evil 5 and others at 69.99$ at bestbuy.ca or futureshop.ca, then i go to bestbuy.com and they are 59.99$. Can someone explain this to me ?Don't tell me we are in regression or the Canadian dollar is not as high as it used to be because even when the canadian dollar didn't worth crap games were not 69.99$.

It sucks! I hate paying up to 20 dollars more for games...nice avatar by the way. :D

They upped it with good reason, it seems. The PlayStation 3, for example, is about €82 cheaper in the UK than in the rest of Europe.
Erm... Bestbuy.com is American, and the US dollar is worth more than the CDN... hence the $60US and $70 CDN. However even when the CDN $ was worth more, companies do not lower the prices to match.
Soy our saying they screwed Canadians by not lowering the price as the CDN got better, but raise the price as it gets worse? ... hmm i smell possible lawsuit...Please Log In to post.
