Games from before 1999 that still look polished and graphically appealing...

I think a lot of old games still look really great, but you may disagree. Parasite Eve 2 is probably the best looking console game of the PS1 era.

That´s probably one of my biggest frustrations regarding videogames. How can the best adventure game ever(imo)not have a sequel when we see so many trash out there with four or five(if not more)iterations?

I didnt realize homeworld was that old, damn it looked good.

I think Resident Evil 2 and 3 have held-up well as far as backgrounds go, since they're pre-rendered. The character models, though, are a different story.

That's a 2002 game.

And my vote would go to unreal. altough there is no real 3D game that looks graphically appealing in this day and age from that long ago visually its another story. 2D games rely on visuals not graphical tech so you can't apply them to topics soley around graphics.

Played through King's Quest V, VI and VII a few month back. Those games are beautiful. Really neat animation too.

It's very easy to lists dozens of pc games before CDROms and goog resolution became standard on this platform long before 1999, thus allowing lush 2D graphics and those don't really age much.

Given the polish it gets from its anniversary re release, it still looks fantastic to this day.

Until now, after all this years, I haven't found a game that give me the pleasure to play as GF did back than...
