Games That are "Good" but You Don't Like

What are some games that are acknowledged to be good by media and/or a lot of people but you don't enjoy the games.

Example: Metal Gear Solid

I never really liked any of the games but they are rated highly and enjoyed by many people.

(^^^Note: Not bashing it, just opinion)

Also, what are some games that the media rates low and isn't liked by many people but you like it.

Don't like: Halo

Like: Ok, nobody laugh.........Chibi Robo

Dislike: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Final Fantasy VIII, Chrono Cross

Like: Blue Dragon

Halo series- Not that impressed. One of the reasons I bought my 360 was to playthese games. I'll stillgive#3 a try though.

GRAW 1 and 2 - Not my thing I guess.

Yoshi's Island DS - great score on GS but not in my book

Dead Rising - I hated it.

I totally agree with these two. GRAW was one of the most boring a laborious games I've ever played and Dead rising was rediculously difficult and didn't even have autosaves or a checkpoint system.

I also hated Oblivion. It was really fun at the beginning but soon I realised how long it took to kill most enemies and it really put me off the game.

One series I love but many reviewers seem to hate are the dynasty warriors games. So far I've got 2,4 and 5 and I seriously can't wait for 6 :)

Forza 2 and Gears bored the hell out of me. I loathed Gear's multiplayer, and I found myself forcing myself through ranks in Forza 2 rather than actually enjoying ranking up.

EDIT: And FFVIII. By far my least favourite FF. I didn't get along well with FFXII either.

Bioshock, just couldn't get into it. :|

FFX, Morrowind,Resistance, Quake 4, The Darkness, Zelda: Wind Waker are all games I think are good, but not nearly as great as many others seems to think. Also while I really enjoy the Metroid series but I never sawthose games assome of the best games ever for some reasons

some games I like that others don't are Blue Dragon, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Street Fighter III and Prey

Having the save points in odd places, and no checkpoints was kind of a pain in the ass, but you gotta make sure to save when you're about to do a long task. It wasn't too hard though. The psychopaths were a breeze to kill.

Chibi Robo was awesome. Really charming game

Ocarina of Time. That's right, I went there. I just never thought it was that great, although I played it a 1 or 2 years after release.

I liked the original Hunter: The Reckoning game. My friends and I had a blast playing it.

Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mario Games, Bioshock, Forza

And lots more

like: DW:Gundam

Shenmue 2

I got about 10 hours into that game and then realised it was the most single most boring game I've ever played.I can appreciate the game for what it was, one of the 1st free roaming games, but it was horribly boring.

Well I thought some parts like the killing the guys in the jeep and the gunstore owner were impossible. But really it was the lack of autosaves that made it seem worse. Eventually I just couldn't be bothered starting from my last save everytime I died soI just stopped playing it altogether.

Dont Like Bioshock it gets repetitive quickly IMO

Dont Like - Metal gear, its extrmely overrated and i find nothing but a borefest out of those games, same thing happens with Gran Turismo.

Like - DBZ games (Except Ultimate Battle 22 & Sagas) & Naruto Clash of Ninja series.

Did you play the first one? If not then I suppose I can understand that although I disagree to me it's one of the most gripping stories in gaming history.

MGS 2. I hated it. Don't get me wrong, I like 1 and 3, but 2 was a big disappointment to me.sonicare

dont like gears of war its mp isnt even better than halo and it came out 2 years later

Dead Rising: There are so many things I hate about this game. The escorting, the save system, the controls, the combat, the timer, the HQ.

GRAW: It just bored me.

PDZ: The worst story I've ever come across in a video game. It barely offsets the clunky controls and god awful voice acting.

Also, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was one of the worst SRPGs I've played.

Walk into a room, kill enemies. Thats all it was to me. And it just seemed like thats all it was to it. The only reason why I would play through the game now is to learn about the story.

Metal Gear. I'm not saying that Metal Gear is bad, of course it isn't, but i fail to realize why people like it so much.

I agree on Path of Radience, I did love the music though, even ordered the soundtrack.

dont like: rainbow six vegas

i guess i figured out that tactical shooters arent my type and i dint realize that co-op wasn't through the whole campaign which was kinda disappointing but i can see why some people would like it

Halo 2 had more weapons, more vehicles, more enemies, less repetative level design, duel weilding and it got rid of the health bar and instead made the shield recharge faster. So overall i think Halo 2 had a betterc ampiagn. The only thing that I think is better in the first game is the story and the levels are less linear.
