Obviously you are a big Halo fan.

I played Halo 1 and 2. It was a good game but not ground breaking enough for me to consider it one of the best.Maybe it is because I played several years of Starsiege Tribes before playing Halo.I like MGS. It is more my style cause it reminds me a bit of Thief (PC) Sometimes brute force is needed in MGS and sometimes stealth is better.

Another game is Age of Empires. My bro and sis-in-law really like it but I am not into it that much. Kinda repeat of Warcraft.

Splinter cell. I was looking for my first shooter for the ps2, and very quickly realised that this was not it, and what i wanted was a run and gun shooter. It was OK, but i got tired of running out of ammo, and haven't popped the disc in again for a very long time. I hear MGS is quite similiar, and im secretly getting a little worried (die hard cow)

actually i guess im not really that diehard of a cow if ive never played MGS. or FF. Or killzone. Or hundreds of exclusives.

However gran turismo is what got me into gaming, and was the reason i bought both ps1 and ps2, and will eventually get ps3. The majority of the remaining games i bought were multiplat

splinter cell was still good, just got a little bored having to replay sections over and over.

This was also the game that made me realize non linear games are crap. I hate wasting half an hour going down the wrong corridor and then realize im looking in the wrong direction

Don't Like - Fable, MGS

Like - PDZ, Wind Waker (considered by many to be the worst Zelda, it is my favorite), Brave Story, Jeanne Darc, StarFox Command

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Nothing but pure hatred from me for this game, especially with the unbalanced levelling. Attacking a rat would give you the same amount of experience per hit as attacking a frost atronach. Conjured creatures also give off the same experience per hit and because they die as soon as you summon another one, you can't die and you'll gain experience MUCH faster than you would adventuring.

There's only a few skills that would take major dedication to level such as mercantile, speechcraft, armorer, acrobatics, and athletics. The others have tricks involved or don't require more than 3-4 hours of repetitive use.

Eventually, you'll be level 30+ without even going to Kvatch. Enemies will have very expensive equipment on them and money will no longer become an issue. If you know how the stat system works in relation to your skills, you'll be able to max out most of your stats.

Buy out all the spells you can get (especially chameleon and soul trap), enchant all your armor with 20% chameleon, and start stabbing or smashing everything you see until you're done.

I'd have to say Gears of War, I tried it and played so many times at a friend's house to try and see what the fuss is all about, but I never really saw what was so great about it, besides the graphics which on my friend's SDTV looked like crap. Shaqneel

Yeah I'm really not a big gears of war fan. Halo is X times better.

I also hated the leveling in Oblivion but the thing that annoyed me the most is vampirism.

Earthbound. It felt like a giant fetch quest. Going from point A to point B, accomplishing some goal along the way. Didn't even hide this. And the count-down HP would be good if level ups didn't give me that archaic "list one stat at a time". Why not list them all at once? OR NOT AT ALL.

Oblivion. I liked it for awhile, but after maybe.... 40 hours of gameplay it got to repetative for me. It was awsome at first, but it wore off fast.

Same here. Great production values, but a self-indulgent story that I can't understand. And the gameplay's not too good, but you don't buy a Final Fantasy game to play it :P.

Resident Evil 4. Being a huge fan of the originals (and the GCN Remake), I found Resident Evil 4 to be a mangling of the series. Resident Evil used to be all about slower-paced, insanely tense gameplay. Gone are those days, apparently.

Ok, I think Zelda games are okay, but nowhere near the god-like descriptions it's fans give the series. Honestly I founf the 2D games to be better, namely aLink to the Past. Other games I'm not crazy about or just don't like at all are...

GRAW 1&2

Super Paper Mario

Gran Turismo

I really can't name a lot...

Gears of War, GRAW, and Halo never really did it for me... I can see why people love these games, but they're not for me.

Oddly enough, the slightly above average Destroy All Humans! 2 was a game I enjoyed playing more than the ones above.

I owneda GC last gen, but the two games I couldn't stand on it were Wind Waker and MP.

I'm a huge Zelda fan, but I just didn't like WW. With MP, I just didn't like the game as a whole.

-World of Warcraft. I played it for a few hours, and just couldn't get into it. The combat system is loathesome, and some of the community members are less than pleasant. -Halo 2. Okay, the first game had a boring singleplayer campaign(go here, kill all enemy, rinse and repeat), but the multiplayer was pretty good. The sequel, though? The campaign still sucked, and they also managed to ruin the multiplayer as well. (Don't say that Halo 2 introduced online multiplayer to the series, since I'm coming from Halo PC here.) I can only hope that this fight finishes on a good note despite this letdown... -Half-Life 1. I don't hate it, but I don't get the whole revolutionary aspect of the game, probably because I only played it a few years after its initial release. Maybe it's because all the prior FPSs were "find the exit" affairs, while HL1 took the now-common "first-person movie" approach. -The main Final Fantasy series and Chrono Trigger, regarding their battle systems. The other aspects of those games are great, but I just can't stand the "wait-until-a-meter-fills-up-before-you-can-do-anything" approach to battle(I like to have direct control ala the Seiken Densetsu/* of Mana series). The random encounters in the FF titles only make it an order of magnitude worse. -Resident Evil 4's controls. The Wii version is somewhat tolerable, but is it too much to ask just to let me STRAFE, or move while holding a knife? This isn't the early 1990s, now-I expect main-analog-stick-to-move-and-other-analog-stick-or-Wiimote-to-look controls in this day and age! I can't think of anything more, lest I get into entire genres(I don't like RTSs where I can't directly control my units because they're too stupid to do anything useful without me directing them around FPS-style all the time, and I don't like fighting games where you have to memorize tons of long directional-movement-and-button-press combos to have a chance of winning).
