Uncharted 2.

enterawesome

Why do people say this? Just because the single player was amazing doesn't mean the multiplayer automatically sucked. It's balanced, fun, fleshed out, polished, and supported by ND to this day. The co-op modes were great as well.

not really. By simple concept these unlockable based games are unbalanced since some of the perks and powerups can be game changing, or major during closer sequences(for instance 2 people shooting each other while only one of them has "down the irons unlocked" guess who wins that shootout?)

Is it broken ala Modern Warfare 2? hell no, but It's hardly "balanced". Some of the perks are just silly and didn't even need to be made.

Uncharted 2, really, numerous "perks" to choose from, good maps, a lot of modes and being fun to play makes it awesome.

I think you need to read the OP. The thread was meant as a games that had MP where the MP just felt tacked on and lame instead of a genuine good feature :P

Yep, and I'm referring to those who bashed it for being tacked on.;) Makes me wonder how much they played it...

How is Uncharted 2 mp tacked on?

I think that U2's mechanics aren't addictive enough to make for a good a multiplayer game.

What? A good bit of effort actually went into UC2's multiplayer and it was very fun. They supported it with DLC too... what else do you want from it?

It's funny that you consider DLC "supporting it".

Well I don't like DLC at all and I've never purchased it. But it's a console game not PC, they can't give mods or anything, how else would you like them to support it? Point is effort went into it and they didn't just do it for the sake of having it.

That doesn't make it tacked on, it just makes it a decent multiplayer but not great.

[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="Darkknight_13x"] That does not mean the Multiplayer was tacked on. It just means they released a crappy update. It happens.

red dead redemption... horrible multiplayer, horrible.. i hate it so much that i dont play it. Rahnyc4
How is it horrible? It runs well and is very fun. You can team up with friends and rampage across the Wild West or you can play in organized games like most games provide.

In before Resident Evil 5
(cause if anything, the single player was tacked on)

millerlight89

That whole game felt like one big tack on lol.

This
I want to add Gears of War 1. A lot of people liked the multiplayer for it but I just couldn't get into it. It was shallow and in some ways broken.spacesheikh
gears of war 1 multiplayer was addictive.

mansion is one of the best maps i have ever played in a multiplayer game.

but i respect your opinion though, i just wanted to throw mine out there as well

-Crackdown 2 -Singularity -Super Mario Galaxy I'd say Left 4 Dead's competitive multiplayer feels borderline tacked on because it was simple the campaign mode with a team of another 4-players playing as the special infected. Not to say it wasn't fun(Just like I'm not saying the multiplayer in the other games listed aren't fun) but it felt kinda lazy.

ya but no lasso = lame :P j/k but seriously,RDR multiplayer is pretty lame IMO. it just seems so much was left out. theres no train in multiplayer.i woud have liked to jump on the train with my friends. another thing is no mini games. that will be in the DLC pack later on.sucks that i have to pay for it. no lasso..i would have love to lasso my friends and hogtie them lol no skinning animals.just adds to the realism :P there are many thing that dissapoint about RDR multiplayer.these are just some of the reasons

Well that is your opinion. I found it very fun and addictive. Especially the coop.

imo Halo mechanics and gameplay are dull and boring.

See how opinions can differ

[QUOTE="spacesheikh"][QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="spacesheikh"] The DLC we're talking about costs money. Selling is not the same as supporting.

Yes it is. They are releasing new content for a game that has been out..... they are supporting the game. Just because they charge for it does not mean they are supporting the game.

I don't like to use the word "supporting" for a dev that charges for DLC. If you say that selling DLC is supporting the game, then even Activision supports their games. The word "Supporting" should be reserved for devs like Valve.

1) the first dlc released was free 2) the Dlc in question is more than just maps, but new skins and game modes as well; and it's way cheaper than what other companies charge for dlc. 3) Naughty Dog has been constantly patching and tweaking the online since the game was released. (although, I do think some of the patches did more harm than good.) So yeah, Uncharted 2's online is supported, and is one of the best out there. Not the best, but one of the best.

Yeah lol. If you have to pay for the DLC, that's not supporting it.

[QUOTE="spacesheikh"][QUOTE="millerlight89"] DLC is a form of supporting a game. warmaster670

So now devs can charge us for a few maps and we still consider them "supporting the game"?

How is it not supporting the game? you want it to be free? you plan on paying the devs there salaries? making co0ntent aint free so why should getting it be free?

It is free on PC.

It does not matter if YOU do not like using the word or not. Yes even Activision is supporting their games. It is a rip off... but they are still adding to it and such. Valve supports their games... but just because they do it for free does not mean the other developers are not.

What about devs who make you pay for content already on the disc? Are they supporting their games?

Dude, you are debating with a console gamer. They are brainwashed. Your not going to win the debate. To console gamers, having to pay is all part of their everyday gaming experience. So to them, having to pay for DLC is still supporting the game. His mindeset on the matter is why PC gamers say console gamers always bend over for the console makers. They actually think it is ok to charge for the stuff me and you get for free as PC gamers.
