This is different than the fanboys of other consoles? Cows and lemmings are just as content with their rehash. You look at the list from the original topic and most of the games are sequels. The reason people tend to buy a specific console is because it has the games they want to play.

Why is it that these threads exist but when the PC Exclusive threads come out the console sheep avoid it like the plague and reply with typical stuff like RTS, FPS, MMORPG?

To be honest if you only own one gaming platform of course you are going to miss out on a lot. You are missing out on 3/4's of the rest of the home market.

the only games i heard that actually suits me personally would be red steel 2 and no more heroes, i dont like anything thats not violent some way or another, and i hate anything disney, hence i hate kingdom hearts

well not technically violent, but they cant be too boring and non action packed, the only game i would play tahts light hearted is spore, and again racing games are ok and i hate sports and i would never play zelda cause i used to thinklink was a hott girl that i would totally bang and then i found out he was a dude. Same thing with FF, i hate rpgs, i didnt even finish oblivion cause i got tired of it. ITs more my personal taste and it really has nothing to do with my post, oh and OWNED.

I'm not a sheep, but I'll step up and argue the point for them. Do graphics matter? To a point, sure. I personally wish Nintendo had released the Wii at $300 with a slightly beefed up graphics card, but they didn't, so I'm glad to make use of what it has. Physics and AI are different from game to game, so you can't really say that all Wii games will have worse physics and AI than all PS3 and 360 games. Also, immersion in a world is totally subjective. You know a couple of worlds I find really immersive? Shenmue and FFVI. Are either of those two games from this generation? No. An "immersive world" depends more on story, gameplay and graphic design creating a sense of atmosphere than it does on pushing huge amounts of textures in HD. Shenmue might not be as pretty as Gears of War, but you can easily get caught up in its world. Twilight Princess was an immersive game (although it wasn't indicative of the Wii's best), and it was a rushed GC port. Just wait till Metroid Prime 3 comes out (Metroid, one of the most atmospheric series ever).

Finally, is the Wii controller "gimmicy"? On certain games (Twilight Princess), it can be. But when used correctly (look at Wii Sports, for example), the controller is really a fine piece of technology. Not to mention it again, but I'm really looking forward to how Metroid Prime3 handles the controller. If done well, it could leave dual analog sticks in the distance forever.

So in closing, can the Wii match the "immersion" of the other consoles this generation? Sure, as long as developers put in some hard work on the system.

But that limits theire diversity in game choices, listen, every game that comes out for wii can technically be done on a ps3 and 360 but most games with good ai, physics and what not cannot be done on the wii, all the wii has going is the controller.

the only ones im interested in for 360 are halo3, fracture, CoD4, mass effectand assassins creed. others such as bioshock, fallout, oblivion will also be on pc.

IMO, not that that much more impressive than the wii line up, seeing as alot of those games are also on pc.

I'm interested in two games on that entire list... and I've had one of them on my 360 for months. How can I miss out on Geometry Wars when I've played it on my 360 since last year? Brawl is the other, but I can live without it honestly. Or just play it at my friend's house.

i already posted stats taht at least the japanese gamer popultion are more interested in ps3 lineups. And i dont have a issue with wii60 owners either, if u have the money to get a wii as an extra console go for it as long as u have a real gaming console like the 360 or ps3. I already went over why its winning sales in a previous post, its basically pricepoint and marketing, the price point makes the biggest difference, but i dont wanna argue with that here, go to my previous post and bring it up if u have to. i just want sheep to admit ownage, thanx.

Oh no the Hermits/PC gamers have been owned look at all the good games they are missing out on :roll:
Anyone can play this game. Its not that hard and its really really simple if you ask me.

my argument mainly is that sheep miss out on a whole lot more than lemmings and cows indivdually do because at least their systems share a lot of multiplats in common that the wii doesent simply cause its CPU cant handle it, and i again ps3 and 360 games are much more appealing to the gamer population than exclusive wii games.

Than how come in famitsu magazine (sure its japanes but still) 8 of the top 20 titles japanese gamers wanted were PS3 titles, while only 3 were Wii? Yes u have been owned, i do speak by stats, thank you.

I already went over why its winning sales in a previous post, its basically pricepoint and marketing, the price point makes the biggest difference, but i dont wanna argue with that here, go to my previous post and bring it up if u have to. i just want sheep to admit ownage, thanx.

Why is it that these threads exist but when the PC Exclusive threads come out the console sheep avoid it like the plague and reply with typical stuff like RTS, FPS, MMORPG?

To be honest if you only own one gaming platform of course you are going to miss out on a lot. You are missing out on 3/4's of the rest of the home market.

If you only own one you miss out on the other three. Anybody could easily make a thread called.

Games that Lemmings or Hermits or Cows are missing and then name all the games from the other three platforms that aren't on the choosen.

im not a big Rpg fan but ya, it will, crystal chronicals for GC was a joke like this one is gonna be for the wii.

i may be interested in FF versus though since its more action oriented and i like the dark art style better when compared to FF 13

have you played FFXII for ps2, because they re-did the fighting and it makes the game alot more interesting.

i would try playing FFXII for the ps2(if you allready havnt), they re-did the fighting system and it gives the game a refreshing change

Agreed.

Besides, it goes both ways. Nintendo is the master of quality exclusives.

You're right in saying that Wii owners would miss out on games like those listed. Just a couple of things that bother me...

1 - Why does it take nearly $1500+ to take on a $250 machine?

2 - Wouldn't you be missing out if you didn't aquire any one of the consoles + PCout?

3 - Does that boost in hardware automatically make it's games better?

4 - Are those games you listed, plus the ones on the Wii, any good?

5 - Can't a game like Mario Kart hold up to games like Forza or GT?

I dont see the point of pitting all three platforms against the wii. I could give a list of games those three systems will miss out on but it will be shorter, since it is one against 3.

Im pretty sure the us lemmings and cow's lineup is much more appealing then the wii's one.

And sheep, please dont complain about graphics cause next gen processing power is not only about that, its about physics and interaction and AI, like the euphoria engine. Id personally choose supersmart AI rather and the ability to break a box and have it break like if it were real life and not a scripted animation anyday over a controller. It are these gameplay elements that makeup a decent gameplay experience, and i think they far outweigh the experience playing a crappy game with a nifty controller.
