I think thats it in chronological order

I think past PC upgrades were spurred by Doom (the first upgrade from my old POS 286), Wing Commander 3 (an ATAPI CD-ROM drive instead of the old 1x controller card model), Jedi Knight (first 3D card), Quake (time to ditch the 486 DX4 Overdrive), Quake 2 (first 3D card that wasn't a POS), Quake 3 (GeForce DDR - no GTX, no numbers, back then it was just GeForce), Doom 3 (Athlon 64 and a 6800 GT), and Crysis (a whole bunch of new hardware).

On the console side, I bought consoles for Super Mario World, Metropolis Street Racer, Gran Turismo 3, Halo, Metroid Prime, and Project Gotham Racing 3.

N64- Super Smash Bros, Mario 64, Pokemon Snap

Gamecube- Super Smash bros melee, Mario Sunshine, Starfox Adventure

Xbox- Doom 3, Halo 1 and 2

360- Gears of War and Halo 3

PS3- Uncharted 2 and God of War 3

PC- Crysis and all the modern PC games I missed out on

PC - Battlefield 2

I played it once on my friend's computer in 2005 and thought it was the most amazing game I ever played. I knew I had to have a gaming PC after that.
