Fanboys is correct. More specifically Fallout fanboys. You too would be pissed off if Gears of War 3 was announced but the developer was Rare and they had decided to turn it into a clone of Viva Pinata.

You might notice that Fallout fans can actually present arguments as to why they're disappointed with Fallout 3, whereas any argument in favour of the game is usually "u haven't played the game, wait and see", "games must evolve, fallout 10 years old", "we know nothing about it" or "oblivion best rpg ever, beth make fallout 3 best rpg ever".

Being an FPS fan and a gun fanatic, this game was seemingly tailor-made for people like me. With the options to use hundreds of painstakingly recreated authentic weapons, each with its own sound, feel, mechanics, etc., and the ability to create impossible scenarios like a Navy SEAL team against a regiment of WWI soldiers, it was a shooter-fan's wet dream come to true. But noooo, Linden Labs, being the money-mongering bastards that they are, nabbed the dev studio for their pet project Second Life. It has been shelved since then. I don't usually harbor hate for a company, but I absolutely loathe Linden Labs.Verge_6

or do you mean that spaceworld demo with a load of mini marios .. because that was just a demo, therfore technically couldn't be cancelled because it was never a game
