I forced myself to finish Oblivion. I'm not really sure why now. I think with all the hype surrounding it and stuff, I was trying my best to like it. I just could never get into it. I loved Morrowind though.

So, what games did you force yourself to finish even though you hated them?

Never have. If I hate a game, I don't buy it to begin with, let alone actually finish.

I don't think I ever forced myself to finish a game I hated before. I just stop playing the game. One example is TimeShift, I got the game for free from my brother who got the game for free from his friend, so yeah.

II-FBIsniper-II

It's funny, because I been playing it for like 3 hours or so now and I keep feeling that it is just basically the prologue to Episdoe 2 and is not holding it's weight as a stand-alone episode.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, after playing 3 so much, I got bored of Vice City real quick. But my friends were talking about all these awesome parts and stuff, so I kept playing to stay in-tune with the conversations. Sounds dumb, I know...

Assassin's Creed, to justify me spending 60 bones for it.

That's an accomplishment. I couldn't force myself through over 8 hours of that coma-inducing crap.

Another game that I hated, but forced myself to complete was Shadow of the Colossus.

I found Oblivion to be boring, I mean it might just be because I like linear RPG's like the FF series or like LO, but I just found the open world and all that kind of boring. I mean I ould go outside and observe the world rather than looking at it through the TV. But the worst game for me has to be FFXII (12) I mean the STORY IS JUST HORRIBLE. It would have been so much better without Vaan, I mean I AM JUST TIRED OF THE DAMN SPIKEY HAIRD KID THAT WANTS TO BECOME STRONG AND SAVE THE WORLD AND GET THE GIRL ITS BEEN OVERUSED TIME AND TIME AGAIN. Not too menion that Penelo is just the most useless character ever.

That game finishes?

The goal of the game is becoming the master farmer or whatever and also getting all the achievements, so in a way achieving that goal means you finished what you had to do, but yeah, the game can go on and on.

Halo2.... Halo1 was very good and introduces so new gameplay but Halo2 SP was kinda more of the same. A few missions into the SP, I was getting bored.. but I manage to finish it anyway. Not into the online on console since I have a lot better time online with PC. PC online games with mods is so much better.

Frankly Zelda TP. The end dungeons were just so out and about terrible I only slogged through it to see the end. Extreme overuse of the dual hookshots FTL.

Trust me, going through episode 1 WILL be worth it, episode 2 did not disappoint me at all. Truly an amazing experience.

Games i forced myself to finish? Assasin's creed. Was definately NOT an amazing experience.

IMHO ES:ii daggerfall>Oblivion>Morrwind>Arena

For their time Arena would be second but now u can't "modernerize" the controls so it feels akward. But morrwind fans need to give it a rest Morrwind is dumbed down when compared too ES:II and to boot its has bad combat IMO. ES:IV on the other hand changed the genre basically its more like a action/adv rather then a rpg so I actually found it fun and at least the close combat was fun.

Ya I did on like Lost Planet at all. It just was too slow of a game but I had to beat it to get some of the achievements. Some of the boss fights were nice but it was way to linear.

I almost forced myself to complete BioShock, but I stopped near when the Little Sisters were draining power from the dead splicers.

I forced myself to finish Gears of War and Oblivion's main quest (but for some reason, playing Shivering Isles was pretty cool.)

I plan to finish Doom 3 and MOH:Airborne. Try to ignore the flaws and just finish it

I didnt know hack and slash gameplay was changing the genre and "fun"...

Seriously, almost everything in oblivion was dumbed-down and just bad. Reused textures everwhere (bland much? took me 5 mods to get it anywhere near how i was hoping it'd look), horrific level-scaling, THE SAME 5 VOICE ACTORS FOR EVERY PERSON...lemme stop now...i just hate that game so much...I could go on forever...

Here's to hoping ES:5 learns something and has good qualities from morrowind and oblivion.

Really? I am suprised I know some ppl don't like the game (1/2 are bad at it too) but its so short its more like once u decide to force ur way through u already won.

I also forced my way through Bioshock its the only game I bought then sold 3 days later.

A lot of Ghost Recon games do that for me... I get lulled by the reviews and graphics and when it hits that 19.99 price point I run out and buy them all to find that I really don't like them all that much... Multi is great, but the idiotic squad AI and clunky controls drive me nuts...

Metal Gear Solid 2 for the PS2.

I didn't have a PS2 at the time, I was playing it on someone else's PS2 and I didn't have any memory card, so I forced myself to finish the game at one session.
