Games you hate because of their fanbases

I am just going to get this out of the way early: The Conduit. I was slightly hyped for this, until the sheep hyped this as the second coming of Jesus, and said this game looks better than Crysis, Killzone 2, and Halo 3. Now I'm silently hoping that this game will flop, just so I can hear sheep shut up about how this game will be the best FPS ever.

Now, the other games listed aren't as extreme as the Conduit, but I really dislike some of Halo 3's fans, because they're so damn arrogant, and treat the game like it's a gaming god and the sole reason why FPS's exist. It is a good game, but I think it's a tad bit overrated.

And the last one has to go to SSBB. I don't like how sheep think this is the best fighter ever, when it's not even the best game of its type(that would be Power Stone 2). It's great, but I hate how the fanbase thinks it's so good, they won't even try other fighting games like Virtua Fighter 5 or Street Fighter 4.

Most of the fanbase of GT are all 'car enthusiasts' btw, a lot of them don't even play games regularly.

Halo 3 is going to get the most votes. But yeah, I'd go with SSBB. Too many sheep hype it as one of the top, premier tournament fighting games when it lacks depth compared to other fighters. It's still a great game though. I'd also go with KZ2. It's a well-made game, but it's fanbase makes it incredibly difficult to support it.pyromaniac223

Halo 3 is an awesome game. But their fanbase are just so annoying. Always saying "this game started FPS" or saying "its the best FPS ever".:(

PS and also Sonic. Some mates gave me a link of a Sonic fanbase website and its utterly disgusting. Its an abomination of obsession. I cant give you anymore details if you wanted to know because I would get banned.

Metal Gear Solid fanbase (Can't say anything bad about it without getting flammed especially the story)

Halo (obvious reasons)

Sonic the Hedgehog fanbase (Arguing over voice actors, defending the bad games, and just having the most strangest things that I can't say here)

None of the games are bad except Sonic lately but these fanbases annoy me.

I hate Metal Gear fans... but they games are actually pretty damn good... so I guess they can have a little credit.

But Halo fans... my god. They praise it like they've never played a good FPS.

Gears of War 2.

I had so many people tell me Left 4 Dead was nothing compared to this, and then they ended up getting bored and trading in their "masterpiece" to get Left 4 Dead in the end.

Urgh, I forgot about old-school Resident Evil fans :x. I think they forget just how badly the old RE's have actually dated. If they made a new RE game with that same gameplay today, it'd stuggle to scrape a 7. Silent-Hal

As much as I love the old school Sonic games (Sonic 3&K is one of my favorite games of all time, that fanbase is bad. At least SSB, MGS, Final Fantasy and Halo are great games. That isn't to say all of the Sonic games since Adventure 2 are bad but they aren't great.

EDIT: I don't think the Conduit should be on your list. It's not out yet even if people are hyping it or hating it.

Also Radiant Silvergun and Final Fantasy VI and IX. You're really not special just because you played them.

Oh how could I forget the absolute worst of all Ninja Gaiden 2 fanbase. I've been attacked over and over again for speaking my mind about that game. It's always "you must teh suck at it noob" crap like that. No self control what so ever.

Halo 3.

I don't hate any games because of that but Halo would be the closest. Most of the people I know who are into it are kids or just arrogant & ignorant or hardcore 360 fanboys (everything else sucks). I'm not saying everyone who loves the series are any of these since I don't know everyone but I never got the right impression. I don't even get it either. Halo is fun but I don't get all the praise. That's another thing that adds to it.

If I'm going to hate a game, it'll be because I genuinely don't like it. It has nothing to do with the people who happen to like it.

call of duty

you just can't like people who are nuts for this game, claiming its the most realistic game (cod4) theyve ever played, best shooter ever, etc. its probably because i've played every call of duty and most people entered the series at CoD4.but the games have become so predictable and rehased i never bought one past CoD2 (did play them all :P )

the series has done nothing for me, i dont see where the hype comes from
