GameSpot is in Microsoft's pocket.

Are we talking about the same gamespot that completely ignores things like 30FPS PS3 games to 60FPS 360 games and gives the games the same scores when every other site scores the 360 one higher?

(I'm reffering to Madden)

Anyhow it seems like gamespot is using the cover of the best version, which is why Assasins Creed has a PS3 case (gamespot said its better, even though every other site said opposite).

I'm starting to get more influenced by the whole theory, but I wouldn't say I'm convinced..

It would be so easy for M$ though, and none of us would ever have concrete evidence to say they did or didn't do it..

So first a couple weeks ago "On The Spot" was brought to us by X Box Live, which i found quite wrong, now in the "Readers Chooice Awards" all multiplatform games are showed with the 360 cover. I don't know how much more biased GameSpot can get.

BTW Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, but i did not know where else to put it to get all gamers opinions.

I was talking to the guy who said they must have posted the box-art of the best version. I was simply explaining that they did not, they just posted whatever box art.

Again, if you actually think microsoft paid a website to show 360 box-arts in their best and worst awards, i'm going to have to start ignoring your posts.

Why would they do that? Why spend money to do that on a page which only hardcore gamers are going to visit, all of whom will obviously know that Orange Box isn't just a 360 game?

Is it not kinda odd that they use 360 box arts on the Dubious Honors section too? Are microsoft paying them for that? :|

That was because sony earned it, like they do now, at least some extent. microsoft has never earned anything, just paid or it all.

By having the best games out last gen? The 360 has them this gen.
By having the larger install base last gen? the 360 has it this gen.

The simple fact is the 360 sells more games, the 360 page of the games gets more pageviews. Of course GS will use it on their awards page.

360 does not have better games, I am so tired of this BS of "Sony has no games". It is untrue. Sorry most fanboys wont get over that and still try to overshadow the PS3 with that garbage. 360 may have more popular games like halo 3, BioShock and mass Effect, and yes I see why with BioShock and mass effect, I loved playing both of those. But that is not to say PS3 has no good games.

What did the X Box have that PS2 didn't? halo?

Mass Effect getting 8.5 where it got 9+ ata good numberreviewing sites. Well I remember Sony had PS3 ads all over the place here last month, around the same time Mass Effect came out, So that is probably Sonys money.

thats not the problem, its how they conduct there business..who knows how much money they threw at gamespot to get their name on OnTheSpot...I mean they were willing to throw 5mill at R* for extra content in GTA4...but hey thats M$ for ya

In Canada, Futureshop is in Sony's pockets...Whenever i enter,i see Sony ads,employees wearing Sony t-shirts, they encourage you to buy a ps3 over a 360 and Wii,Ps3 gaming section has more highlighted titles than other consoles

GameSpot is just a business like everything else
