gamespot wants you to ignore Uncharted PS3

Lad, you've got to be joking.

Uncharted has franchise written all over it. You know the graphics are top notch as well. Graphically it's the best looking game on PS3.

The game has great scores overall from the gaming media.

This "Gamespot is teh bias" is getting tired, Gamerankings has Uncharted at something like an 88? which is 8 points higher then the Gamespot score of 8.0, but Mass Effect scored an 8.5 and is a 93% on Gamerankings another 8 point difference.

The question I have for the folks screaming about the 8.0 Uncharted recieved is has anyone bothered to play it yet? or is this another R&C situation where 95% of the tears come from cows who haven't touched the game yet?

Uncharted is in my humble opinion the best looking game on PS3 to date, but it doesn't change the fact that a consumer is basically paying 59.99 for a > 10 hour experience with zero multiplayer and aside from "playing it again" very little replay value.

Gamespots reviews are perhaps one of the few left online not written for the gamer shelling out 5 bucks to rent a game but rather the gamer shelling out 60 to buy it, reviews are written as an aide to a consumer looking to buy a product and while many of us buy a few games a month many do not.

I don't think Gamespot wants people to ignore Uncharted, but at the same time I am not sure if it warrented a higher score.

It's not about that, Gamespot is a 'serious' gaming website that people come to to decide important decisions such as what console to purchase and if gamespot are bashing the ps3 around like this then it could affect certain people.I've stopped takinggamespot seriously already, they need to fix up.

Serious business indeed. Really you need to chill out. One review from one site won't change the world. If a game is good, another popular site will say so.

Their review puts the game as "great".

And GameRankings agrees with GameSpot that Uncharted is an AA game. It also agrees Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm and Warhawk are not AA games.

So in the end, your argument falls down to no video review (here's a crazy idea, they were busy, Mass Effect, UT3, SMG and Crysis had just come out) and ads you saw on the site.

You realize Gamespot is a business. They don't care about who wins the console war. They care about money.

Obviously, it wasn't worth the time/money to make an Uncharted video review.
