I know a review is just someones opinion, but the one with ratchet and clank that said having to much varity is a negative point. I mean i never knew varity=bad.
It wasn't the best. But A 8-85 would have been good.I know a review is just someones opinion, but the one with ratchet and clank that said having to much varity is a negative point. I mean i never knew varity=bad.

agreed. No comparison.
- Ratchet and Clank
- Suikoden 1 = 6.7? One of the best jrpgs ever imo
- Elemental
- Alpha Protocol
- Assasins Creed1/2 (Wish I didnt buy these, not AAA material imo)
- Fallout 1 = 8.7? This is one of the best rpgs ever, AAA no doubt.
- Ultima Online = the best mmo ever, way to low score
- TF2 = on pc one of the greatest onlein game ever, less then 10/10 for this amazin game isn't right imo lol
Boy, i just watched the video for that review and jeez... it's just SO bad. I don't think i've seen him in another review since?I think it's this one. You?

Oh ODST, is also a competitor. With a full price tag its a 6.5 game.
argetlam00
wow, I thought exact opposite, thought it was a great deal and worth the money. Was the best campaign in halo since Halo1 imo. Plus all the DLC from Halo 3 and that new Firefight mode.

Gamers like you are the reason we have so little variety in games nowadays.
It's OK for people tp enjoy different things, and honestly, was ODST anyworse a deal then GOW3? Both were about 6 hours long, only difference is ODST had MP and DLC for Halo 3. I can think of games shorter then both that scored well too.
What? ODST has an awesome multiplayer, firefight which is addictive as hell (a competitor for Nazi Zombies), Forge, and Sp campaign also can be played 4 player co-op and the Halo community. And here in NZ it was about 60% the price of normal gamesOh ODST, is also a competitor. With a full price tag its a 6.5 game.

Conclusions like these are why nobody takes criers of gaming's death seriously.Well I have not played that game so I can not comment. However, I truly think variety has the potential to be a negative. For instance, say a game has a great deal of variety but never really expands or never really fully conquers all of those ideas. Then you are stuck with a game with a ton of variety, but none of those things they did with it were never fully thought out. I did not explain that well. I am trying to think of a better way to put it :PI know a review is just someones opinion, but the one with ratchet and clank that said having to much varity is a negative point. Super Mario Galaxy 2's review was pretty bad for getting a 10 but i'm not sure about the worst review.
Scoob64
what? it was a perfect score from tons of reviewers... GameSpot was far from alone in that opinion..
Look at his avatar.
I actually agree with the bulk of their reviews. And the ones that I don't I can easily see why they gave it the review they did. You know guys, it is possible to see a person's point and not agree with them. Just because something doesn't represent your point-of-view doesn't make it **** :?

Hey they're opinions. I would give KH2 a 9/10 because its my personal opinion. However I do have the presence of mind to know that to most people it isn't. Just like how I would give Halo Reach a 8/10. And I know how most people would give it a 9/10 or over.[QUOTE="Scoob64"]

Sackboy is lucky that LittleBigPlanet 2 was delayed until January as the above picture will describe what will happen at the end of this year if his game was released as originally scheduled.

this is the worst review ever, a game that provided me with endless hours of fun deserves more, perhaps the reviewer only played it alone? because multiplayer is where it shines

sackboy feels no pain, and have you even seen LBP2 footage? that game looks marvelous
Anyway to contribute. I don't really think any of them are "bad". Everyone's entitled to an opinion. The only one that was weird to me was the Strange Journey one, in which they compare it to Persona 4 (for some reason) mention P4 had more variety or somesuch to its dungeons. Which it really didn't :? But whatever. Opinions are opinions. Everybody's got one.Skittles_McGeeWell Persona 4 had a lot more to do. Dungeon wise it did not have more variety though, it was always just different decor.. that said I think it was insanely stupid to compare them. He does it throughout the entire review, they aren't even remotely meant to be the same. Why should someone demand one game in an expansive series be the exact same as another? :? The last thing I wanted was Persona 4 elements in Strangest Journey and I love Persona 4..
I'd say Nier is worst review, average gameplay and optional side-quests being tedious does not hold back an immersive plot with great characters and one of the best soundtracks of this generation and turn it into a 5.5. :| The bare minimum I could see its "faults" which are mostly optional, would be a 7.0.
Edit: Gamespot, turning spread out posts into walls of text since 1999.
Halo ODST was the worst of the bunch. any game( whether its popular or not) that gives u a 4 hour campaign, does not deserve a 9.0 no way in hell!!!reaver-x
probably was more like an 8 imo.

Firefight was cool, but full price for a 3 hour campaign and a multiplayer suite from a 2 year old game is a bit much. Basically, if you owned Halo 3, you payed $60 for firefight. As an expansion pack, it works well; as a full-priced game, I just don't see how it deserved a 9.0.
Don't forget Perfect Dark 0... At the launch of the 360, Gamespot gave the brilliant Call of Duty 2 a AA review, and then gave that piece of crap a 9.

This is the worst one I have read. Wow, it's so coherent with the score.
Either glitchspot missed some paragraphs or the reviewer(and whoever supervised and authorised this) was under the influence of something weird.

Did you know that review was written more than ten years ago (1997)? Not only that, but the reviewer had long left GameSpot so whether he was eventually fired or not does not matter. GameSpot reviewers come and go and most of quickly forgotten.lol of course i knew it was written over 10 years ago, it's mario kart 64 for christ's sake. either way, that guy should be nowhere near a game reviewing site.
