GameStop adds Nintendo 3DS, games + accessories to their system. Release: Nov.22

The computers for Gamestop have added the Nintendo 3DS in the system now, along with 18 games and 14 accessories listed as available for taking pre-orders on September 29th. They also have a listed a shipping date of November 22nd. (Since postal services are out on weekends, the Nov 20/2010 Sat is the most logical release date, as the orders would be delivered on Monday the 22nd).

Perhaps the 3DS really will make it out the door by November. I'm impressed by Nintendo's quick turnaround.

I can't believe they released the XL for such a high price point with full knowledge that they'd release a successor console that essentially made it outdated the exact same year. Oh well, the final revelation is only 12 days away. Expecting a $250 price point even more if true because the DS price cut has only just gone into effect this month. Another DS price cut in 2 months would be way too soon.

But if it is $200, then I think XL owners got screwed.

No ads, no final info on the product leads me to think its not coming out this year in the U.S. Fuhgeddabouditt

guess we will find out september 29th. plus nintendo does not advertise months in advance. but if its coming this year in the us u can expect ads to roll out in early october.

It will be released on a Sunday. Nintendo always does big releases on Sundays.

And when developers eventually stop making games for the DS so they can shift their efforts entirely to the 3DS?

You seem disgusted at Nintendo for acting no different than they always have. Game Boy and Game Boy Advance both got a bunch of variants before they were ultimately replaced by a true successor.

Fair enough. I've had a couple Gameboy 1st editions (with the Advance being the worst) and it always seemed I was almost always pining for a new edition announced weeks after I purchased :cry:

There's no doubt I'll end up picking up a 3DS eventually. But at the moment I don't think I see anything that makes me cringe at waiting a bit for a more refined piece of hardware. Especially with the number of quality handheld titles slated in the next few months,
