and sure this is always possible and all because ms regulating used is a huge threat to gamestop but still you would think there would be some physical evidence seeing as how it is supposed to be a handout.

I assume this is most likely an individual game store thing if it's real.  And if it is, I don't see any issue with it.  Gamestop relies on used game sales.  Not only that, a lot of people who buy systems aren't exactly informed.  If, for example, you live out in the middle of nowhere with some dodgy connection, or maybe a 56k connection, but your kid really wants a next gen system, you should know the Xbox One isn't for you. A lot of parents just don't pay attention and just buy the system.  That's why when we were all kids we would get a Playstation with no memory card... sorry, personal experience!

I could certainly see Gamestop making some moves to protect it's interests in the upcoming console cycle.  Hopefully the gaming press chases this down.  It would be nice to have some corroberating sources.

people who work for stores that rely on used game sales and hard disc games to be sold will make it their mission to make sure xbox 1 fails. Xbox one is going to be the biggest flop in the history of video gaming. Its sad but this piece of shit system has no good exclusives, a kinnect system that is only useful in large living room spaces lolll.. what about people who live in small apartments. what about people who play in small bed rooms. That is hilarious, even though I do not like Gamestop very much. Every time I buy a game there, the employees pester me about preordering a game, or getting a membership, or buying used instead of new because I could save five dollars. I don't go there anymore now. I buy most of my games digitally, and if there is a console game I want Best Buy is fine. The cashiers at Best Buy always let me just quickly buy my item and leave.

Same. Went yesterday to preorder GTAV. I saw no fliers. I did see some employees trying to convince some people to preorder the PS4. :P
