Yeah, this year sucked for FPS.

This year's GT list is helluva lot better than what they've done in past years. Instead of falling for hype, this time they've actually listed good games, and given us more variety in nominations. Definitely an improvement. Want to see more of this in the future.

Those are good picks. Can't complain about any of those really. Lol at the PlayStation exclusives category though.

It's a good thing.

Yeah great for insecure fanboys that need assurance about their beloved platform. For the rest? Nobody would cares if it's exclusive or not and people just care about playing the best game available to them, exclusive or not.

If the most enjoyable PC game is MGSV (PC Gamers GOTY), Rocket League (Rock, Paper, Shotguns GOTY) or Ori (My GOTY - I play on PC) etc then that should be that. I dont see how exclusivity factors in to judging or evaluating a GOTY or see how it affects the enjoyment of the game, if it does, then you probably have mental issues.

This way more games get room to shine. GOTY gets its own nominations, other categories get their own nominations. Meanwhile games like Witcher 3, that are programmed well for all platforms also get praise for being good multiplat titles. It doesn't affect your preferences in any shape or form, it just brings more good games to other people's attention, that are often overlooked.

Black Ops 3 is my only major gripe because that game is a turd.

I remember really liking GT's end of the year stuff but this year and last year I barely tuned in. Dedicated exclusives awards is stupid though, way to manufacture the clicks.

Lol I wish this would become standard! Seems like a reasonable list. At last a site that gets that platform awards should be given to platform exclusives. Wii-U having 5, Ps4/X1 having 3 each lol.

2 of 3 PS exclusives are on multiple PS systems. So basically one PS4 exclusive was nominated and it won that award too. A bit funny when you think that way, just saying.

I don't know how many AC games have released so far. I have no idea. Should Rogue be counted as important AC game? If so then Syndicate is AC 9. But then what about that AC that is based on Brothel women (forgot the name). Then there are couple of AC games for handhelds too. Hence "8+".

Yeah and X1 having the strongest lineup in xbox history resulted in three games, all of them direct sequels with minor changes. But of course exclusives disappearing is a good thing, so we shouldn't be too spiteful :).

Brothel women? Was that a Vita game or something? That franchise is too confusing to keep up with anymore lol. That's why I love the '+'. It's like GT saying: "we don't even know what's going on anymore"

@tushar172787: Halo 5 is better. The multiplayer alone in Halo 5 is so balanced and so competitive that it'll drive that game for a long time. Not to mention the fact that 343 is doing dedicated DLC for free every month until June at least.

Actually I added that 8+ there. Would've been awesome if GT was responsible for that though :-(

Though to be fair, both games were released extremely late into the year.

Hmmm, XO owners are the only gamers that can play all of those games.

So you're telling me that Halo 5 has actually won something? Let me tell you, i'm impressed. BB is the only title released in 2015 that can go head to head with TW3 and taking GOTY is well deserved. Praise Miyazaki and his marvelous team of peeps that make games and not cut scene, set pieces, explosions simulator.

Also, best fps should've been given to Rainbow Six. This game is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from being "meh" as i've originally thought.
