Gaming PC > Xbox 360?

I was thinkig about selling my laptop, DSi XL, and 360 and buy a gaming rig. The problem is, I was thinking about it, what games are there that 360 can't play? I mean i'm not too into RTS and I know PC has alot of shooters...With all this talk of consolization and PC gamine dieing, should I even do it? I really want to play some games on high settings...convince me elititists. What are your favorite PC exclusive games?

EDIT: Another thing that concerns me is games like RDR redemption and Halo Reach aren't being released on PC..I hope this isn't a sign on things to come. Also does anyone know if you can play Halo 2 online PC without having xbox live? how does that work??

Yes, it is worth it, PC has way more exlusives, it might have less Fightes and Beat em up games, but still there are games like SF4 and DMC. Even if you dont like RTS, you can try their sub genre, that is more popular than normal RTS games - MOBA. for example League of Legends(free to play game)

If you need an mmo wait for ToR/Tera/GW2, maybe play DCUO for the free month.

Anything with PC gaming > Console gaming or vice versa, 10 page thread incoming.

Why on earth can't you just save some money and then have both? Why do people feel the need to abandon all their video game systems in favour of one other system? So you will have something to argue about on System Wars?

I never get why people do this. It's like if Timmy was best friends with Joey in Kindergarden, and then in Grade 1, Timmy becomes friends with Cameron so Timmy doesn't like Joey anymore. It's childish and stupid.

Its better than all 3 consoles combined, why pick just one?

It's not a bad idea TC.

You might be missing out on a couple of console exclusives though, so if you cna swing it by just selling the laptop and saving I'd go that rout.

If not, and you can live without the occasionall console exclusive, go PC and don't look back.

Almost all 3rd party devs are going multi-platform anyway, and the PC version is 99% of the time the superior version.

In terms of my own favorite Pc exclusives:

- The Stalker series - open world, sandbox shooter

- Crysis 1 and warhead - Better than Crysis 2 in most respects

- The Witcher series - ARPG

- Arma 2 - Military sim shooter

- Total War Series - Awesome mix of turn based and real time strategy. You can literally build armies of tens of thousands fo troops and have them fight in real time in historically accurate battles. Shogun 2 is the latest game.

- DOTA 2 - Multi-player competitive RTS

- Star Craft 2 - same as above.

- Warhammer Dawn fo war. An RTS that even RTS haters like. No base building or resource gathering, just pure tacticla combat with small squads of troops.

- Sins of a solar empire - Aweomse space RTS

- Magicka - quircky multi-player aRPG indie that is super fun to play.

- Diablo 3 - need I say more?

- Drakesang series - Old school RPG, similar to Neverwinter Nights.

- Rasettar - JRPG/Store sim hybrid. Sounds weird but it's super cool.

- Guild wars 2 - Massively Multi-player RPG

- Neverwinter - Co-op D&D RPG

- The Old Republic - Story based star wars MMO from Bioware. It looks like a full feldged 100+ hour, fully voiced, intricate RPG, except it's also an MMO.

- Gemini Rue - Indie old-school adventure game

- Red Orchestra 2 - Multi-player Military shooter

- Mount And Blade series - This is an FPS with medieval weapons. Nothing is like the experiencing of taking a castle with 100 other peoople online while watchign your buds take arrows to the face!

- Microsoft Flight - flight sim

And even that is not a complete list.

All of that + the best version of multi-plats (I mean, do you REALLY want to play Skyrim and Battle Field 3 on a console?) + mods + better graphics makes PC gaming pretty cool, IMHO.

PC has best FPS, best RPGS and best strategy/mmo games.

League of legends, kinda hard to explain what it is since its a mixture of rts, rpg, and tower defence. Id say the best thing to explain it would find a video on it.

Shogun 2, Civ V, E.Y.E., Magika, Red Orchestra 2, Dark Spore, Firfall, Torchlight 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Sanctum, Amnesia, Killing Floor, The Witcher, The Witcher 2, Shattered Horizon, Minecraft, and plenty of others.

I tried to pick ones that have come out in the past year or two, or those that will be coming out this year. These are just off the top off my head and I am about to take a final, so I can post some more later.

I would suggest going over to the PC hardware forum and asking for build advice there.

Just make sure you tell them the resolution you want to game at (usually the native resolution of your monitor/PC) and your budget.

As for the TC, a gaming PC can hold its own against all three consoles, nevermind one.
