I'm selling my Xbone after giving up on the broken Halo collection and not being impressed with the Codified Halo 5 beta and it would just collect dust for the next 8 months or so by the looks of its upcoming lineup. I'll be breaking even since I got it so cheap during black friday.

My question is for multi console owners which would you recommend PS4/PC or PS4/WiiU?

Damn, that's difficult.

Look, ordinarily I would suggest Wii U to go with PS4 (there is a lot of overlap between PC and PS4, none between Wii U and PS4), but... I'll be honest lol, it doesn't seem like you actually care for most of the games Nintendo puts out, so I'd say go for PC in that case.

@NathanDrakeSwag: PS4 + PC is the way to GO. Rent a Wii U with the game you really like and voila! Thats what im doing tbh and i get the whole experience.

The problem with Wii U is that after 2016 ... will be a dead console similar to what happened with wii... Another dust collector and then youll be forced to buy another console to fill the gap. Well dont do it ... It doesnt worth it imho. Renting is the best option , beleive me , thats what im doing since Wii era and it works wonders while it saves me alot of money for products with high wayer value ( aka support ).

@charizard1605: There are some games I want to play on it. The main ones being Mario Kart, Smash, the new Zelda, Star Fox, and Xenoblade Chronicles looks interesting. My concern with it is Nintendo might ditch it after this year. I've enjoyed Nintendo consoles in the past but the Wii was complete trash imo.

What interests me most about PC gaming are the cheap prices of games and huge overall library. I have a friend who plays on PC and will help me build it for free if I pay for the parts so it wouldn't cost too much. The obvious overlap in games is why I'm hesitant but the savings on games makes it seem like a good long term investment.

The PC, it's not even close.

The PC is likely to get years where it gets more exclusives that year than the WiiU will get in its lifetime.

Well, since you despise Nintendo "1980's cartoon rehashes", you, in particular, are better off staying away from Nintendo's consoles.

The Wii was pretty eh. The Wii U is certainly better, and I think Nintendo will support it through to 2016's end (plus there's the backlog that comes with a new purchase), and it is getting great games this year...

That said, a PC is a more future proof purchase, and there are entire genres available on PC that you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else, including Wii U and PS4. So while there might be a larger overlap between PC and PS4... there's also a significant portion of games on PC that PS4 doesn't have (and vice versa, I imagine).

Do you know anyone who has a Wii U? That way, at least you would still be able to play the big releases even if you do go for a PC. If not, I still say do PC now, pick up a Wii U on the cheap later (you can get them for as cheap as $200 from Nintendo's site, so that might be a nice thing to buy during holiday season or something).

I'd probably go with PC and PS4 or WiiU depending on your preference.

Ditch the PS4 and get a PC and WiiU. With a PS4 and PC, there's like 99% overlap and they're all better on PC anyway.

PC+PS4 is what I have. I think it's a pretty good combo.

You get the PS exclusives -- talking about Persona, Bloodborne, Uncharted, Gran Turismo and so on, not the crap that they rushed out during the first year -- along with multiplats on PC, plus PC exclusives, which are also great (especially if you like cRPGs and strategy games).

That said, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Mario and Zelda, so yeah...

Look at the most anticipated games of 2015!!!!

PS4/Wii U all the way.

All fanboy BS aside PC has the most games, I mean tons and tons...but how many do you actually hear about or get brought up as even worth playing? Fact is the VAST majority of high profile PC games are coming out of PS4 anyway and you are't going to get Nintendo exclusives anywhere else, then you are left with the must have industry moving PS exclusives the set the benchmark for other games to follow.

Tell you what, make a top 10 most anticipated games for yourself, separate the multiplats and see what you are left with, that should igve you your answer.

FYI: this was the result of Gametrailers most wanted games of 2015.

  1. The Legend of Zelda (wii U)
  2. Bloodborne (PS4)
  3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4, PC, xb1)
  4. Persona 5 (PS4, PS3)
  5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4, PC, Xb1, PS3, 360)
  6. Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4, PC, xb1)
  7. Overwatch (PC?)
  8. No Man's Sky (PS4 2015, TBA* PC)
  9. Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)
  10. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (PS4)

This, and even the exclusives on the PS4 atm are not worth the price tag of the PS4.

I approve this post. I mostly game on PC these days, and I have my ps4 collecting dust until Persona 5 & Bloodbourne (maybe) comes out. But i have to play persona, no way i'm missing that.

I need to grab a WiiU soon though, at least for the living room. I threw a party recently, and a lot of people wanted to play smash bros or mario party (i have never played mario party).

PC is by far my favorite platform but I'll probably recommend the PS4/Wii U combo. Need to know your PC specs before actually answering this.

No point selling, you losing money you maybe have to buy again it later when you find a game that come out that you want to play. Dont make so fast decisions if you feel you regret it shortly after and want to sell. Just like you doing now you are about to make a bad deal again.

If you want more systems you can save money and during the time you save money you can think and make up your mind if you really really want it or use the money elsewhere.

well you have it completely backwards, but telling by your fan boy ass hat of a name that doesn't really matter.

Best combo to have this gen right now is PC and a Wii-U. X1 and PS4 are both huge wastes of time.

I'd say it depends on the budget for the PC and how much you want to play the Nintendo exclusives.

It depends on what you like, really. Personally, I really like strategy games, so I'd take the PC. If you are only going to be playing the type of games that you get on the PS4 anyway, you should pick up a Wii U.

PC, hands down.

The only way I'd recommend the Wii U is if you're a die hard Mario/Zelda/Donkey Kong fan and absolutely can't live without those games.

You shouldn't have gotten a PS4. It's basically a poor mans PC without games. With the PC + Wii-U combo, you'd get the best of both worlds.

I would take that money and donate it to your local recycling center along with your PS4. Take a tour of the facility and watch how they crush, dismantle and separate all they different types of plastics. You could learn a lot about saving the environment too.

Now that I am more awake, I just realized that you're asking if you should get a PC or a WiiU to compliment your PS4.

With that in mind I think you should get a WiiU because if you get a PC you'll probably regret some purchases since PS4 and PC share a LOT of games together. WiiU you'll have a bit more variety.

Stick with PS4 and forget the other 2.

But if you must, get PS4 + PC.

NEVER get a wii u. Just don't bother. It is not worth it. Just wait 5 years, buy it used for $50, play the 3 games you want to play, then sell it. Nintendo's consoles are just filled with game droughts and the games are terribly boring. Do you really need another kart racer and fighting game? Same old stuff. Zelda hasn't changed in years and it will have bad controls again. It is just a useless dust collector. You will regret buying it.

EDIT: I see, you probably already have a PS4.

Anyway I would get rid of my X1 but I early adopted and would lose too much money out of it, because MS kept dropping the price. It turns out I didn't end up with what MS said in the first place.

But if you picked one up later, you have to have known what you were getting. Also the idea that you got one later on and won't give it a chance is a little shifty.

However if your story is the case, than I'd say get a PC.

That's a tough call man.

A good case could be made either way. I would research the libraries and decide that way.
