I'm glad that that game got terrible reception.... It totally destroyed it self and is a true embarrassment to the survival horror genre. And I'm happy gamers rallied together and took note of this. But honestly It took 2 steps back with the treatment that ZombiU got. A game which pretty much modernized the Zombie genre with the same tone Silent Hill and *New* Resident Evil games completely failed at. The game isn't excellent by all means...but it really goes to show you how much gamers in general dislike change or something more de-powering....yet...they scream constantly for developers to do something new...instead of just being another COD or Gears clone. It makes me really scared for games like Amnesia: Machine For Pigs...I think it will be treated the same way because it now has mainstream attention and I honestly don't think publishers like EA want games like it get popularized....it would mean more work for them instead of releasing the same game they made 5-6 years ago...every year.. :/

I'm sorry I have to ask. How could you have a typo in the first sentence after you edited four times.:?

I played a tiny bit of RE6 (w/ Chris). It certainly was fun, but it wasn't Resident Evil in any sense of the word. And crazy-inconsistent.

No. DayZ modernized the zombie survival genre not zombie U.Not saying it's not a good game but it can't compete with the brutality of DayZ the only game in years i have played and thought.."i want it to be harder!"

Leave the new ideas for the new games I say.. Thats the only way people will be willing to accept something different.

President Evil 6 has a 7milion unit sales target and have sold 3.7 milion so far. If another 3 milion fly off the shelves by next fiscal year then rest assured your b!tching and whining will be rendered obsolete, AGAIN ! DLC is gona rehype the game. (yes people are that stupid, get your head out of your @ss and accept the fate of all your favourite franchises). WORD !

Capcom have downgraded their sales forcast for the game it's currently selling well under what RE5 did.

I assume this thread is about Zombie U and since I haven't played the game yet, I'd just go by what Gamespot's review says. Zombie U is too easy to be scary period

I haven't played zombi u, so i can't comment on that, but rest assured that amnesia AMFP will definitely not fail because of the reason you give, and that is because it's coming out on pc. there's always a market for something on the pc, even the most unconventional s***, and that's why a game like amnesia(the first one) succeeded. I daresay it would have failed on the consoles(from an economic standpoint) due to its unconventional mechanics of 'running away and hiding' as opposed to the usual 'fight and kill' routine.

Whats wrong with Silent Hill ? Have you even played Downpour ? If you did then you know that, that game is a pure survival horror.

Now I know that videogame review scores are so f*cked up, that in this medium getting a 70 metacritic actually is kind of a sign that the game is probably a lot closer to bad. But I'm going to pretend that gaming has a more respectable scale than that for a second. Now the general consensus on this game(save like 1 review, maybe 3 or more) is that it's got some neat ideas, but it's really rough around the edges. With the people who really like it point it out as something wonderfully challenging in all the right ways, and being a breath of fresh air.

And I'm going to assume given the lack of "new" titles at the WiiU launch that it will do fairly well for a launch title that isn't a Nintendo IP. It's not really getting overlooked. If anything it's getting a much bigger spot light on the sheer premise that its a launch title. Chances are this game will probably end up with a sequel if it does well enough for Ubisoft.

ZombiU better than RE 6? No way in hell. Even though RE 6 might have screwed up things for the series, it doesn't make it inferior to utter crap like ZombiU.
