Times change. Games that you say were finished back before they were patchable most likely had some problems that the developer would say that they would have patched it if it was possible.

The game is completed but there is a possibility of there being an error in the code that would make it difficult for you to complete that complete game.

Developers most likely view all games in this time period as a work in progress even after it is released.

And that's why games like SOCOM Confrontation have reviews that don't even almost represent current gameplay.

I like how Killzone gets so much hype for having great graphics yet it's a generic, boring FPS with a campaign I didn't bother to finish and online that's a bad version of CoD.

Honestly, how does one of these pics look superior to the other? Gears not only looks as good but has a lot more creative design in terms of enemies, gameplay, and maps. Complain about too much gray? How about a whole game that takes place in a bombed out city and a desert? Killzone is such a joke its pathetic.

its weird, Killzone 2 is the only game this gen that i think looks better in pictures than it does in motion. When everything starts moving fast in that game i think thats were it kinda falls apart

They were both some great games. Hard to pick a winner between the two.

Gears of War 2 was amazing. I honestly couldnt care less about the graphics. I mean seriously when they're that good does it really matter? Why do we all have to be such graphics whores? :|

Meh...I agree that the graphics are about the same, but Gears 2 was only enjoyable because of Horde...Killzone 2 actually had some variety.
