Gears 3 is holiday 2011 at the earliest. There's no way in hell Epic/MSGS are going to release Gears 3 anywhere near Halo: Reach.

If Gears of War 3 came out in 2010, it wouldn't beat Halo: Reach. Besides, Microsoft would never allowthose two franchises to be released in the same year. I can see it getting a holiday 2011 release though.

MS won't allow two huge 360 exclusives to release in the same year. They'd probably save Geow3 for 2011.

Besides, I'm far more interested in some fresh, original titles, like Alan Wake.

GeoW2 sux. I dunno how you can be hyped about GeoW3 when part2 wasthe biggest let down. single player wasnt that great and slow as hell to find a match.

Like others have stated, not until next gen. If anything, I already thought GeoW2 pushed the game engine. How much better do you think it will actually be?

I see nothing wrong with discussing a game that hasn't been officially announced yet as long as it's focused on what you want to see in the game and not "ZOMG GEoW3 >>>> KZ3 LOLOLOL" For story I could see the humans allying with the regular Locust against the lambent locust. There's already a connection between the two races through Marcus' daddy. I'm guessing the Queen Locust escaped and that's why the whole Locust race didn't die when the hollow got flooded.

Hmm, didn't know that. From my point of view I think it's a good thing, they shouldn't want to make too many sequels in just one gen. These development years will be more than enough to add some cool stuff to the series. The spanking though, will have to wait...
