OH NOES!! No GeoW2 on the PC?? Oh what will I do!!! PC gaming is gonna be so terrible next year without another Gears game! There's no way i'll enjoy my platform with only Spore,L4D,Stalker,Projectorigin,HL2:Ep3,WotLK,CoD4,TF2,Counter-Strike,Audiosurf, and The Witcher on it. No Cliffy please don't do this to us. I'd love to play your game with mediocre graphics, clay models, all-grey levels and no jumping.TheBigBadGRIM

Get real people.He is only saying it so people who would be willing to wait for the vastly superior version will pick up the 360 version and then the PC version whenever it comes.An indirect response to that question would obviously mean that ya there will be a PC version.

On topic though, considering the PC version of Gears didn't sell too well (I could be wrong, correct me if I am), this isn't exaclty surprising.

Epic's Mark Rein confirms

Looks like Gears of War will continue to remain an Xbox 360 exclusive, although many, many PC gamers were hoping otherwise. Many rumors regarding a PC version of Gears of War sparkled on the web and most of them were due to references of the game in drivers for NVIDIA graphics cards.

But now these rumors are squashed by Epic's Mark Rein, on the company's forums. "You know console games are developed on PCs, right? Even if we never release Gears of War on PC we still need to run the game on PC to develop and test content for it" started Mark Rein to explain. He continues, pointing out that their first E3 demo, over two years ago, was done on a PC equipped with dual NVIDIA graphics cards. That was how they simulated the power of Xbox 360 before there was actually a real Xbox 360 to run on.

Epic gave NVIDIA a copy of the wargame.exe (along with some sample content from Gears of War) so they could help them tweak Unreal Engine 3 performance and reliability on NVIDIA graphics chips. Apparently, this was necessary to make the development tools perform well and ensure that NVIDIA drivers would support Unreal Engine 3 going forward.

So, the overall conclusion of Mark Rein's forum posts is that we WON'T see a PC version of Gears of War. Too bad I say, and I am certain that most PC gamers agree with me.

Looking at some of the posts here i have to laugh. GeoW was a big success on 360. Its a game made for console gamers. Shallow, great looking, little skill or brains needed and action packed. When this game was made for PC it didn't really set the world alight in terms of sales. What does this say? Well for me it say's PC gamers really don't care for this type of game. They really don't.

If you want to play a game like GeoW you buy a console, simple, I did not get into PC gaming to play this garbage.

Do we care its not coming to PC? Hell no.

No GeoW 1 made it to pc, I am quite sure the second one will too.. From what I have seen.. If a console first released game had a game of the series that released before it to the computer, then the future games most likely will too.. We have seen this with Halo, GTA, Morrowind, KOTOR, etc etc..

I cant talk I bought the 360 GEOW bundle.

A good game, but way too over-rated in my opinion.

Reasons why It will happen?

1- Its a Shooter
2- THe first one went to the PC
3- EPic is dev with good history on PCs

Why it won't happen

1- Epic has become console oriented
2- Microsoft/Epic might actually keep it exclusive
3- There is a small chance that hell has frozen over, and a major 360 exclusive is not going to the PC.

That said if it does come to PC I'm waiting for benchmarks, reviews and player opinion this time.
