Gears of War 2 online is a JOKE!!!

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Gears 1>Gears 2KilIzone3

I agree.

Even Gears1 online was horrible and broken.

Gears 2 made it worse.

CO-OP is fun.

And it doesnt help that UE games netcode sucks. They seem to have a horrible host advantage in all UE games.

I agree.... Love Gears... hate the MP in Gears 2.... ugh, it's so F'in Broken it's nearly unbelievable.... it's hard to believe it's so broken by accident.... it seems like EPIC is playing a cruel joke on its fanbase....

I'll probably buy Gears 3 still.... but not in hopes to have a fun MP experience.

Geow2's online is good.. forgetting that sometimes it still takes ages to get into a game, the rest is great... Horde mode is so much fun !!!

I also like the maps, they are well sized/designed considering maximum players online totals to 10...

The MP in Gears 2 is a joke, I paid £40 for this game that is STILL unplayable online.

As for XBL, for what I pay for it could be much better. Throw us europeans a bone every now and again. Lag is rampant on many games. Dont even think about trying to play with people across the pond or in Australia. I was playing Killzone 2 on a mates ps3 with 32 players with no lag, hell R2 has 60 players and that doesnt lag. So if Sony can do it, why cant MS?

I'm lucky enough to be able to play with a party of 4 to 5 most of the time. Its currently alot better online than it was initially but to be brutally honest thats not saying much.

Gears 2 has a good campaign and co-op campaign but online is just sad. Only thing people do is either 2 piece or chainsawpeople don't even try touse they shotgun skill like in gears 1 are any other weapon. Other than that gears 2 doesn't moveas good as gears one everything always feel laggy even if it isn't.

I play gears 1 still over gears 2 and every day more and more people are coming back that just shows you how they messed up gears 2 mp.

Games cheap and unbalanced and runs terribly. How anyone could play it is beyond me.senses_fail_06

aw c'mon, you know thats not true.... people drop out all the time in bf2. if a game is full, you can just keep trying and a minute or two later a slot opens up. its just that unlike Gears, if someone drops, another person can take their spot. in gears, once the match begins, you cant fill an empty slot if someone drops

and i have given up on gears online for one its to competive !!!!! and the host has such a atvantage he cant take more shots and his weapons do twice has much damage

its very hard to use the rifle good but iam pretty good at it overall iam just over it

There are still some major ones left. Security and Pavilion....

*I never said the game is a complete joke, I play it alot actually. It's just that the community is craptastic at best.

i swear i played for an hour just now and i tell you there is nothing more annoying or frustrating than someone dropping out in the first 5 seconds of a game. i mean this wouldnt make such a difference in cod4 or halo because of the sheer amout of numbers, but 5 v 4 is a HUUUUUUUGE difference, it also more than likely means most of the others who make up your team will leave aswell - making it 5 v 2 or sometimes 5 v 1 which is very fun at all for either team.

really blows.

Maybe they could add bot(s) for a dropped player? Losing a player when the numbers are so small does hurt the game experience.
