This can't be happening--first the "Gridlock", the beauty of the "Gridlock"--now this? What was he thinking? That's all I was good for--active reload sniper hits. I better step up my game before this one comes out later this year. Im feeling the other two though--now I can safely leave the comfort of my hosting zone, and travel to other people servers without any real disavdantages.

Same here, can't really stand his view on most games. He's not really a well rounded gamer IMO.

Yup well said... Gears of War 2 still looks amazing but if lems think its going to outshine GTA IV or MGS4 for game of the year honors they are out of their damn minds lol.

Errr. You're actually wrong. R6 Vegas/2 has host advantage. So the guy was doing a fair complaint. Clientside on consoles = ftw. Serverside on consoles = ftl.

I didn't like the bow for some reason. I found myself using the AR, shotgun, and sniper rifle in the SP.

My preference goes:

1. Torque Bow

2. Torque Bow (had to put it twice because it's really all I ever use)

3. Snub Pistol

4. Boltok Pistol

I LOVE Gears, and I'm pretty sure I'm the biggest Gear Head on these forums. There were things wrong with the first one that bothered alot of us though (and still bothers me today since I play all the time).

Gears 2 Improvements that will own cheap players:

- No More Sniper insta-down
- Roady Run is slowed by gun fire
- No more Host Advantage

Phew! I'm so glad these changes are coming. I really don't care about sniper active releoad since I've learned to play around it. But these changes are great. :lol: No more average player hosts who think they are God.

Nice. Another thing I hope they change is Boom. I think that if you run up on Boomshot and at least shoot him, and he suicides, you should at least get credit for the kill, too.

Also, people are not "invincible while performing an act of killing." Which is nice. Does that include picking up weapons? And they need to fix the chainsaw crap, when I shoot someone right before they chainsaw me, nothing happens to them. -_-

It will be great, but won't acquire GOTY.

I wish they would have vehicles in multiplayer. It's part of what makes Halo so over the top fun. I mean lets imagine for a second vhicles and all the gears gore... a mongoose with chainsaws on the front! Now that would be ownage!Meat_Wad_Fan

I never cared much for roady run, but host advantage and sniper insta-downs seriously annoy me to no end (instant-kill snipers are the bane of any multiplayer shooting game). Thank you Epic for getitng rid of those cheap sniper insta-downs :)

I don't understand what you mean. I played tons of Gears online but I don't understand this insta-down phrase. You mean getting shot by the sniper instantly downs you?because that isn't true.

Also why shouldn't a sniper kill you instantly with a headshot. That's perfectly realistic.

The insta-down thing is when someone has an active reload with the sniper, that shot will down them instantly if it isn't a headshot.
