Sorry this is just a thought, not necessarily saying it will rock, but you really HAVE to think about the fact that KZ was last gen, Gears was this gen? :roll:

here we go again... killzone 2's engine is already more adv than the Unreal engine, onlything that made gears good was graphics bcz short single player and 4v4 laggy online with host adv didnt, but hey even resistance 2 looks better than UT3, killzone 2 is made by diffrent ppl (sony) then the 1st killzone game.
and last but not least
THIS GAME IS NOT ANNOUNCED AND WE HAVE NOT SEEN NETHING FOR IT so why do you think the unreal engine is goign to look 100 times better than it does for UT3?...then again UT3 isnt even out on the 360 bcz they are having problems with it....so why would gears 2 be nebetter?
I hate KZ1 but i will be buying KZ2... don't forget.. dev's learn from thier mistakes & improve and from what i have seen of KZ2... i like what i see and it looks very promising.

Thats a major plus also.
not to mention the huge amoutn of money/devs put in to this the game was built form engine up, it has a full colour spectrum in the lighting, not even cryengine 2 has that. neways im sure it will be better than gears bcz gears one was just unmatched in graphics even though it lacked gameplay which is ironic bcz lemmigns after seeing most of PS3s lineup, or crysis for that matter bash and say gameplay>graphics, and everyone who has played killzone 2 has liked it, so as we know it has amazing graphics and tech along with awsome gameplay

Don't you know it. In fact, not only KZ2, but it will take a lot of coverage form Resistance 2. If there is an 08 release, then I am safe to say that the 360 has yet another "best year" for gaming!!

i know killzone 2 is amazing, i was just makiing the point that his gears 2 game can try and beat killzone, but if it does, its def. not beating resistance 2, i wasnt bashing killzone, i think it looks pretty tight imo
OKay, il put this simple. 1st. we should expect anything from KZ2, its first game was a 6.9, what reputation does it ahve to live up to? if it gets a 7.5 it will be a major comeback. and im not saying the game will get a 7.5, personally i think atleast AA. 2nd. GeOW2 has a reputation to live up to, if it fails, lemmings will get persecuted till the end of days. and, iforgot to mention this little thing. ITS NOT CONFIRMED YET!

Killzone 1 wasn't that bad. Definately a A title in my book. Never play Gears but I saw some vids on the net it looks pretty good.
As for Killzone we don't really now much about the game really. All what we know is......... pretty graphics? And the game was announced close to 3 years ago.

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Gears of War 2 turns out to be graphically terribly in its pre-alpha stage. It's going to be fun watching the lems defend their game when before that they bashed any pre-alpha game on the PS3. :lol:

He speaks the truth. The graphics weren't great compared to the old Xbox FPS games but the gameplay was fine and the story was somewhat interesting. I'm not going out on a limb and proclaiming Killzone2 to be AAA because I can't see into the future like most lemmings on this forum seem to think they can! Lemmings are silly!!!

Gears of War was only Epic because the name of the company the made it was Epic. The online is a mess. The campaign was great though. I've had no reason to touch it since finishing it and getting bored of the trash online.
KZ2 has a HUGE development team behind it where as KZ1 had a small team and was rushed out the door. Everything shown about KZ2 has been pretty positive, other then the E3 trailer garbage.

I have Killzone and i dont remember any of the lines as the game sucked,I think the first levekl you were in some sort of trenches at the start.
Actually the game wasnt that bad,but still it wasnt amazing
First Gears was definitely better than Killzone... but Killzone: Liberation was just as enjoyable actually. At any rate, I think that it's a very real possibility that Gears 2 could be better than KZ2 based on past games. But it's hardly a guarantee, KZ2 is looking pretty good right about now... just depends on how solid the AI ends up being. And considering that Gears 2 will be using the Unreal Engine, I highly doubt it will look as good as KZ2.

I think that depends on whether the second one is a significant improvement over the first one... gamers only do that when games are rehashes of their predecessors.
