Gears of war 2 WILL blow KZ2 of the chart

Gears story was down right awful and the online did nothing special and was complety forgetable. Yes I own gears and i regret buying it.

oh, and just because killzone 1 sucked doesn't mean the next one will too. I'm willing to bet that sony is doing everything it can to make this as good as it can.

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Gears of War 2 turns out to be graphically terribly in its pre-alpha stage. It's going to be fun watching the lems defend their game when before that they bashed any pre-alpha game on the PS3. :lol:leviathan91

I can see Gears 2 being better than KZ2 although it's still questionable until we see more gameplay of each game. But nothing about the first Gears suggests that it will be even remotely close to what Insomniac has announced for Resistance 2. I liked Gears, but aside from the graphics, it was not as special as hyped up to be. And in today's gaming, I doubt the graphics of Gears 2 will even be all that special.... the game will look good. But when Gears came out, it was the best looking game on the market. That will not be the case for Gears 2... UE is reaching its limitations.

Note, I said "in its pre-alpha stage." This doesn't mean that Gears of War 2 will look awful from development to the time it comes out. And besides, the first Gears of War wasn't "all that" when it was shown during its development. ;)

Yea, but since then there has been a flood of games using the Unreal Engine. So the games all start to look similar. I agree though, I don't think it'll look terrible. It's just that there are already games that look better than those running on UE3.

I don't know about that. I'll buy them both but resistance definitely has the edge because the games concept was better IMO.
