Gears of War 3 - Possibly on the Playstation 3?

As most people know, the contract for Gears of War is for two titles on the 360. However, does any one think that it would be possible for the third installment to arrive on the Playstation 3 as well? Epic does have experience with the Playstation 3 from UT3. Any thoughts on the matter?thrones

Yeah your right its totally possible for MGS4 to be on the 360. Thanks for bringing this up because even though Im not interested in that game I think it would be a big deal.

After seeing the horrible sales for UT3 on the PS3, I really doubt it. Maybe if Sony comes out with the PS4, then it might have a chance.

Yeah, but to be fair Gears was a completely new IP and it sold almost 5 Million. If UT ever gets on the 360 soon, I guess we'll find out.

The contract was for 3 , remember they said that they would release a trilogy.

"Aliens take over the world, stop them"

It's a doozy.

I don't think MS owns the IP, just Epic has a certain number of games they agreed to put on the 360 exclusively.

It won't happen. Even if this supposed "2 Year contract" is true, if GeoW2 sales just as well as the first one, I really doubt the company would jump ship to the PS3. Lionheart08

Jumping ship won't hurt sales, to be honest. Apart from some hardcore freckled sweaty overweight fanboys who might no longer like it because it's not exclusive. To be honest, jumping ship in 2010 would be a bit early anyway...

Yea, Gears' story was pretty weak...

However, there were a lot of unanswered questions that could potentially set-up a good plot for Gears 2.

microsoft probaly has an exclusive contract and publishing rights to gears of war 3

and also patcher doesnt know if ms already has a deal with epic

not to mention microsoft is most likely going to buy epic games this summer
