Gears of war can no longer be called a AAA franchise.

Nada, the only criteria is that the franchise get three AAA scores in a row so by that criteria, Halo, Forza & Gears are forever and ever and evah... AAAE franchises. :o

It was "AAAE" when Epic was developing the games. So yes, it is a "AAAE" franchise. God of War? Ratchet & Clank? Sly Cooper? No so much.

i traditionally have  made fun of the ps3 because it was a joke at the beginning of the gen and didn't deliver and because of the hubris of sony and their asshatted executives and how they ran their mouths while running sony corp into the ground.
