Actually, the previews I've read have said the controls work very well, if not better than the 360 version.

nobody is saying it is garbage it is just old news. i barely care about the extra content which will probably come to 360 sooner than later.

plus i would rather just play gears of war 2 sooner than have a better version ofthe game which i have been playing for a year now.

GeoW feel great with kb + m, the few previews i read said geow works perfectly with pc controls. onlychange i think was that enemies are more difficult to kill

ummm failed thread. looks the same with any worse. the thing about gears is the way you played it with the controller and havin the rumble made it feel so visceral. And with the analog sticks to crouch and grab walls it was alot more fluid. Sorry keyboard can never match that. fail

PC games are cheaper and you don't need to buy graphic cards that cost over $400. I can play FEAR on near high settings with framrates between 50-60 with an 80 dollar card.

or I could just plug in a random controller($5) and map the buttons to make it work...
also... the new 8800 GT costs $250 and is just as good as the 8800 GTX. So much for that $400 GPU?

on some guys wacked out map not knowing where all the weapons are and what not. the team who has the host and creator of the map we will have a super advantage over the other guys.

Another reason why I hope the PS3 wins the console war. Who wants a console where all its excluisvies wind up on pc a year later with extra features. I like the 360 but Microsoft has no problem slapping there loyal console customers in the face. Polaris_choice

The most popular pc games dont even requre gaming pc's( sims, Warcraft, Starcraft). And the USA is the single largest market in the gaming industry and its still much more popular then pc gaming. Not to mention pc gaming is nearly non existant in Japan.

Im sure you will say "But in China and Korea pc gaming is much more popular" and your right it is but console gaming there is regulated and banned in many areas of both countries due to trade laws while pc gamign has no restrictions.

That concept is only possible if the dev chooses to make it like that ex: Shadow Run. Your statement is BS. The only restrictions on controls in gaming is brought on by consoles via aim assist, sticky aim, auto aim, combined with the lack of fast pace, precision and accuracy.

they only used the nvdia 8600gt, the game should look sweet on my 8800gtx.

Void? I don't get what you mean.....people are allowed to own more than one system, correct? I actually have money so I did consider buying a 360 but I figured a PC is basically the same thing but alot better, plus no RROD. And I need to play GT5, MSG4, amd FFXIII - that's why I got the PS3. Again money is not a problem.

Most of Nvida sales are through its corporate deals. (Example RSX in the Ps3) and non gaming GPU's in many labtops and desktop pc's. And why would a company like Alien Ware and Falco Northesever go out of business? They build a pc themselves add a custom paint job and sell the thing for $2000 dollars more then its worth, making mass profit thus being able to stay in business even though the sales of any one of those gaming rigs is far behind any major console . Regardless the pc gaming market simply isnt as large as the console market the fact that Microsoft choose to even get in the console market should be enough proof right there are you can look at game sales month to month and see how consoles obliterate the pc gaming sales time and time again.( look at Bioshock 360 vs pc sales as another example) Yes the pc has a few huge titles but the consoles do to not to mention on average the games simply sell much more.

Regardless that is besides the point. The whole argument is that as long as Microsoft continues to release all there excluisves to the pc after the console versions its a slap in the face to 360 owners and it will continue to elimate a large amount of gamers hence the reason every friend I have that plays pc games either has a PS3 or a Wii as there second platform.

PS. Its also important to notice that Alien Ware is bigger then they have ever been because they were bought by Dell.

well i got the game forever ago which is way better then a couple of new multiplayer maps a little better graphics which you wont enjoy on your little computer screen compared to my big screen 1080p TV and a couple of new levels because campaign means nothing in these type of games. and trust when beating it on insane i just wanted it to end i dont even want 5 new chapters and rather them work on gears of war 2, which we will get way sooner, rather than porting the extra content from the PC version to the 360.

Sorry hermits, you get sloppy seconds a whole year late after we got our killer app. Gears was amazing and the best game out then, and now its not bad but obviously not as mind blowing as it was then. Enjoy your year late play through of it though, it will still be fun.
