[QUOTE="TheJuiceyBar"], wii sucks.legend26.......ummm thats the pc version at lowest settings......self ownege! I knew that, im still validating my opinion, SELF OWNAGE.
another genious post by people who dont know what their talking aboutThe following pics are from a post-apocalyptic 3rd person shooter on the Gamecube (Terminator 3). The Wii version of Gears of War would probably look a little better (Slightly higher polygon count and sharper textures) then the following pics:

I think thats the PC version on the absolute lowest settingsanshul89Hmm....maybe my PC can run that.:D
[QUOTE="Zerostatic0"]another genious post by people who dont know what their talking aboutSure, I have a degree in Computer Science and have dabbled in Indie game development for a couple of years. I love my Wii, but I'm so sick of you deluded people who think that the Wii is considerably more powerful then the GameCube. It has a alittle more horsepower but it's games are not going to look that much better from a technical standpoint. Guess what, from a technical standpoint Mario Galaxy does not look that much better then Star Fox Adventures and Metroid Prime 3 does not look that much better then Metroid Prime 2. They have beautiful design and a few things look alittle better, and I'm sure later generation Wii games will continue to look incrementaly better, but the difference will never be huge. The following pics are from a post-apocalyptic 3rd person shooter on the Gamecube (Terminator 3). Anyways, the game I posted was Terminator 3. I have that game and despite those bad pics, the graphics are actually pretty good and are very sharp (they look a little blurry in the pics). A Gears of War type game on the Wii will probably look like T3, but with higher res textures and slightly more polygons. The funny thing about it is that though you dismiss that idea, if there was a sci-fi 3rd person shooter coming to the Wii that looked like T3 but with higher res textures and slightly more polys you deluded fanboys would be creaming your pants talking about how this proves that the Wii is much more powerful then the GameCube.
Before you blind fanboys jump on me, I'll like to remind you again, that I own a Wii and I love it, and now that I've sold my 360, it's my only current gen console. But just because I like the Wii, I'm not going to fool myself into believing things that are not true.

i almost believed you had a degree in computer science untill you said that wii is not much more powerfull than the gamecube, which is totally wrong on all levels. so if you do have a computer science degree, a) wasted you money b) its from community college?

I have a Computer Science & Engineering Degree from the University of Connecticut. I've designed Von Neuman architecture processors and have programmed my own compiler and operating system. I have experience in Assembly programming as well Parallel Processing (a.k.a. designing algorithms for multiple CPUs). For one of my senior design projects I made a 2d video game which I used to do a demonstration on artificial intelligence. So please put a sock in it, I know more about the hardware and software used to make videogames then 99.9% of the posters on Gamespot.[QUOTE="Zerostatic0"][QUOTE="sonic_rusher"][QUOTE="Zerostatic0"]another genious post by people who dont know what their talking aboutSure, I have a degree in Computer Science and have dabbled in Indie game development for a couple of years.
