Gears Vs R:FoM with video

I saw this vid before and IMO (from thoroughly playing both games) is:

Story: Resistance
Graphics: Gears
Weapons: Resistance
Vehicles: Resistance by default
Enemies: Resistance
A.I.: Resistance
Multiplayer (fun factor): Gears
Multiplayer (options, support, latency): Resistance
Sound: Gears
Art Direction: Gears
More innovation to the genre: Gears

OVERALL: BOTH :D Though I play Gears more because I like the multiplayer more.

Resistance is a good game but it's no where close to Gears Of War. As simple as that.

Since when pubbing requires tactics? last time i played gears i saw 2 of my team mates playing it like runNgun.

You will not see real tactics till you join in a league like CAL, 5vs5 matches.

I gave Gears graphics and enemies. Only because it has slightly better graphics and different kinds of enemies. Or more types then Resistance. Resistance beats it in all other areas. fan boy voted site score.

RFoM is fun for a run-n-gun experience. GEOW is all about some teamwork. I prefer GeOW online though.

As always, I'd take quality over quantity, plus there is less chance of being killed by a camping noob, meaning 8 player match require more skill.

1. Gears has a 93.8% > R:FOM has a 87.4% at Gamerankings
2. Gears 9.6 > 8.6
3. Gears recieved GOTY while RFOM did not

Cows really need to drop the 40plyr online matches argument.....at least for ranked games.

Most ranked games are between 12-26 players, a few in the 30+ range and only rarelyaregames with 40 players.

Custom gametypes, you can find 40 player matches, but I prefer ranked games.

Again, you are the one who has no idea what he's talking about, RFOM online is all about stealth, getting the drop on your enemies and teamwork, no matter how good you are if you have two decent players against you alone 95% you will die.

You've never heard of an ambush? Also, chainsawing is one of the most ineffective methods of killing in the game, thus someone relying only on chainsawing would be immediately owned by even an average player.

Resistance does have voice chat, you can use tactics and the gameplay is just as good.

I have to play on "insane" to get some time out of the game? :roll:. I can put RFOM on the hardest setting and it still gives me more of a complete game than Gears.
